This is huge. Integrating both is difficult but you've given a perspective that I really understand. Thanks so much.

I enjoyed your last video. It was a good breakdown of a technique that's been getting more popular in the last couple of years.

Thanks Matt for another great video. It was funny seeing you correct yourself after saying "Ezekiel" to a judo audience :) I've been doing judo as a kid and started BJJ last year, I'm thinking of taking judo lessons again and want to integrate the two practices.

I study Jujutsu where I live because there are no Judo schools here, but, I love Judo. Do you or does anyone else think it is possible to use tachiwaza (ie standing) techniques within Jujutsu and then use primarily judo newaza techniques and be able to link them together? Or would the tachiwaza need too much modifying to make it work. And I noticed that your sumi gaeshi is very, very different from the standard version I have seen or DVD and texts! Would you please explain in detail how you do it and more importantly why? You are much more side on than the much straight on version I have seen. And it seems that you are much more likely "NOT" to break your opponents neck and back!!!

use whot ever work's I take whot thay give me I don't go in with a plan. my judo will be judo /bjj/wrestling /catch as catch can. you name it you want get the job done in and out good luck.

Remember, Judo is a product of JuJutsu. Because there is striking in Jujutsu you will have to work more on transition from standup to grip fighting to newaza. But the key to that transition, in my opinion, is the grip fighting. Once you have your grip, then you work on your throw. Once you get your opponent on the ground, then you work on newaza.

Японские дзюдоисты в шоке от этих двух товарищей, само отношение к дзюдогам не брежное ! Мятые, видно что складывается не правильно ! Хотя-бы погладить могли перед эфиром.
