That's my biggest fear with having that many plants. There is always a few with pests. Always. I have about 60 plants and that's plenty for me. That way I can give every single one thorough attention. I haven't seen any pests on any of them for the last 9 months. But, spring is here (although we just got 10" of snow - here in Vermont). So that means bug season. I check about 10 plants a day thoroughly...tops and bottoms of leaves and the stems too. Have my alcohol, q-tips, Captain Jack's Dead Bug spray, Neen oil... I'm ready for bug war! Lol. I'd love to have more plants, but don't think I could give them the attention they need. 60-70 is plenty for me. Good luck! You've got this!

I don't know how you feel about sprays, but I find Doktor Doom great. They have a fogger that you can spray, you need to leave the house with the doggos for about 2 hours. It will take place of thrips, fungus gnats, spider mites etc. I'm not sure about scale, but they have sprays that you can spray directly on the leaves also. Best of luck with your bug struggles. 😢

One vine grows a bit too well and is far ahead of the others which are not ready yet for a chop (they're barely on the extension pole), so it's gonna be an adventure sorting that out (and I'm going on a holiday soon and kinda wanna sort it out before bc growing season starts, so that's even more fun 😅) Love to see your progress and how you handle the challenges your beautiful plants throw at you 😁💚

don´t worry about it, that are so cute little doggy tip taps in the beginning :D for the scale I read that the babys can hide under the shell of the parent, so I remove the scale and then wipe the leaves down afterwards as well. In general I find that most plants don´t suffer too much from scale. My adinsonii is nearly ready for a chop&extend, it is my first one and my only big mosspole, so I´m so exited and a bit nervous. I have a few plants on small diy lazy poles that will be ready to cut soon, I will cut them in multiple peaces and then pot them onto a normal pole to get them to grow big an full, with multiple vines.

Oh, sorry about the scale. About it, I thought it didn´t spread that easily either, but It seemed it did in a section of my collection. During its younger stages, tiny insects flow all over the plant before growing mature and settling wherever. I have a feeling they can be transferred from one plant to another without noticing. Also, its reproductive cycle is absurdly short. I once read it was about two days long? Me not knowing that made it harder to eradicate it. I hope this is useful

Use systemic granules as directed and then captain jacks dead bug to clean the leaves every couple weeks and you shouldn’t ever really see pests. I feel like the systemic granule says it works on spider mites, but I’ve been told that it doesn’t because they’re arachnids, but the Captain Jack’s has a chemical in it that does treat the mites .

Girl I beg of you, please get yourself some tougher beneficial bugs lol. All your gorgeous plants do not deserve those relentless ass pests you're constantly fighting against lol. I use beneficials myself. When I had an outbreak of thrips a couple years ago I started with Green Lacewing larvae, and continued to get more larvae for a couple months. I even had some pupate in my plant pots, they make their pupa in the soil, and emerge as gorgeous, lil adults lol. After a couple months of those I switched to Minute Pirate Bugs. They're a small assassin bug that will demolish just about any plant pest you could encounter. The one caveat with them though is you MUST have pests for them to eat, if you buy them as a preventative with no pests visible... they will choose to bite you instead. They don't do it on purpose, they're not like a mosquito. They just get attracted to the salts on your skin if they have nothing else to eat and are actively starving. Thankfully I never had them bite me, as my tropical plants are all in my 14x14 bedroom, and I purchased several hundred of them to deal with my thrip issue. They're TINY too, like the size of a tiny, black sugar ant. So even if you do get bit, its like a pin prick, it doesn't hurt for more than a millisecond, and it rarely causes a reaction like a mosquito bite does.
