I'm pretty sure the whole EEEE came about cause that's how barnes positions his throat for his growling. I noticed when i'm growling that the "E" sound is the deepest and most guttural sound and barnes realized that too so his whole vocal approach has that "E" positioning of the throat and that just carried over to his screaming.
