Such a master at controlling his voice. This is a half step down from usual because he KNEW by feel I’m sure; that he needed to drop down. Professionals as well as amateurs should be taking notes. Bravo to my personal favorite singer of all time. And songwriter and a VERY underrated guitarist. This one hurt more than all the others combined. Still hurts daily

Any of you singers out there notice he is dropped down in this performance? The man KNEW where his voice was at all times. Just a MASTER vocalist!! As well as a master player and songwriter and lyricist!!!

This version is played faster than the demo or the album versions, and yet it is still beautifully carried out and delivers the message it intends to. Thank you for the upload.

Overview Lyrics Listen People also search for Lyrics I woke up with my feet nailed down and my head moving the speed of sound Had a dream I was caught in a maze and couldn't find my way back out Some were born to move mountains around and some to rot away in jail I get an itch and when I am scratching everything can go to hell And how far is halfway there? I didn't see you on the trail Did almost become good enough should a good life be so hard won? Is that what our dreams have become? Sometimes when you're shooting an arrow it can fly Across the sky so proud I would go all the way to the sun if I didn't have to come back down And how far is halfway there? Didn't see you on the trail Did almost become good enough? Should a good life be so hard won Is that what our dreams have become? Have become Have you got a car and somewhere to sleep? Someone who loves you? Something to eat? I would say you're doing better than most Though maybe not as well as some And how far is halfway there? I didn't see you on the trail Did almost become good enough? Should a good life be so hard won? Is that what our dreams have become? Is that what our dreams have become?

Opinions are entirely personal and music is subjective as well. I'm sorry you don't like the song but I find it to be brilliant. Beauty can be found in the saddest of songs, even if you don't see it at first.
