Fouad - I’ve been contemplating reaching out to you for a while now, but think now might be a good time. This in regard to your conversations about adoption. I was adopted at birth (as well as my older brother - different birth parents) and grew up to be a physician in Omaha. Like all families, we had ups and downs growing up, but I always knew my parents loved me and wanted the best for me. The statement you made about parents who adopt may “want a child more” hits really close to home for me. As I grew older, I realized this about my own parents and I know you are thinking about it from a parent perspective, but keep in mind the child will always know that from their perspective as well. What I mean by that is, every time there was an argument or disagreement (you know how kids can be shit heads some time), I knew at the end of the day that my parents WANTED me. They went out of their way to adopt me when my birth parents couldn’t take care of me. This always stuck with me and resulted in me always giving my parents the benefit of the doubt. I believe it was in a prior video where you mentioned some adopted kid throwing out the phrase “you’re not my real dad!”... I will say, my brother and I never pulled that card (our dad was such a hard ass we’re certain he would’ve beat us if we said that)... But even if a child did say that, it would be straight emotion and they would know deep down that you stepped up when their birth parents couldn’t. On another note, I’m also the father of a 7 year old daughter. I can say that I was scared shitless when I found out we were pregnant, but it has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I didn’t know how fun it could be to raise a child - especially a daughter that gives me an excuse to talk unicorns and princesses. So you don’t have to be 100% certain to go all in. Hit me up if you want to chat about this more or if you have any questions. You can DM me on instagram: jgums31

I have serious depression and suffer from bouts of extreme psychosis. I have been hospitalized for months with these issues before and I have been on more than a dozen different medications. I discovered bodybuilding and started using gear and was able to come off all but 1 of my medications. The gear didn't have any impact but the structure and joy bodybuilding created for me changed my life. It enabled me to go from unemployed and unable to function normally to being able to get 2 degrees, a Master's and all while working a full time job.
