Incredible that, despite joining the Red Wings at age 37, Chelios ended up playing more seasons in Detroit (10) than either Chicago (9) or Montreal (7)

When Ken and Mick go it will be replaced by diversity hires and women

Ken Kal is the greatest radio man and human being. And a great bowler to boot! Lol

Chelios was the second best defenseman in his time in Detroit. No shame on that for the best American born hockey player.

I was struck while watching this that Lidstrom, with a skillset only a very small percentage of players have ever achieved, was just deciding on which of his Hall of Fame teammates he wanted to score. He was that good. Thanks for posting awood. I hope I can get the game tonight on one of the Canadian Channels. If not, it would be great if you covered the Chelly ceremony if you can or are allowed to due to reasons. Peace from the East

This is what you call a masterclass in puck movement/powerplay. Chelios scored the goal. Lidstrom was absolutely brilliant

I'll be wearing my Chelios jersey tonight while I watch the game.

Is it just me or did the voices of Ken & Mickey get much deeper over the next 25 years?🤣
@DR.DisInfect2 ай бұрын
A little of that but more of how good mics are today. Go back and listen to old Howard Stern his voice sounds so much deeper but it is more the quality and technology in the 🎤
@playdiscgolf15462 ай бұрын
They sound a tad bit younger, but a lot of it has to do with the mics back then. Newer mics pick up the bass and low ends much better now.

I think the audio might be slightly off on this video, they don't sound like this on any other video from around this time period

Thanks 👍. Detroit should retire his number BUT it was Proberts number first.

Ken's voice is still the same after all these years. Best broadcasting team in the league. Ironic how Kaner ruined Chelios' night in Chicago tonight :)

Watching this after Kane’s winner in Chicago. Gotta love Ken and Mick, they sound exactly the same in 2024!

it's funny to me how the defensemen play on their strong side on the pp. one timers weren't a thing back then, not like they are today anyways

Chelios deal was an excellent deal. Ranford and Clark deal along with Ulf Samuelson deal, not so much.
