Y'know I think you've nailed it and I could always see that 'awkwardness' in him too.I've loved Soundgarden since the early 90's but just wish he'd sat back on his laurels.enjoyed his fortune and tried his hand at other artistic things ie painting and kept off the treadmill of touring and somehow I think he might still be with us.Personally and this is said as someone with bipolar I wouldn't be surprised if that was his problem and he was spending his life masking it like I did with drugs through the 80's and 90's... .Weird Kim Thayil must be pickled in aspic because he looks exactly the same now as back then lol..peace Sophie.

Love this movie, love this song, love Soundgarden, but most of all I love Chris Cornell and his outstanding voice and miss him a lot!!!
@donteventrip437 жыл бұрын
First - this is not the performance to measure his talent . The man was extremely talented! Perhaps you should do some research before making such judgmental and ignorant accusations - the facts and circumstances surrounding his death make it fairly evident that he did not commit suicide. RIP Chris. xox
@lorecalderon5037 жыл бұрын
Oh my gosh, what a foolish comment !!! I´m not a girl, and of course I´am not a stupid girl, I'm a grown up woman, that´s why I can appreciate his enormous talent, he was more than a handsome man, he was a great lyricist, one of the great voices of all times, a great father and husband, a great human being. We don't know the circumstances; you don´t know the circumstances behind his death, please respect his memory. If you have nothing good to say, beware of your comments! Light and love to CC. Rest in peace!!
@donteventrip437 жыл бұрын
The man had 8 broken ribs; trauma to the back of his head; blood in his mouth; irregular ligature marks on his neck as well as wounds on his hand, fingers, and knees. Who's the idiot? Frankly, it is irrelevant to the point I was intending to make with my comment which is that he was a very talented man and not some selfish loser the person to which I was responding implied.

I remember that scene! What i find cool about that movie is the setting is in the Gunge culture. In other words, it was filmed and released in 1992, when Grunge was at its peak. It's the essence.
@danielfield93087 жыл бұрын
mrcool665 lol when you said "gunge" culture in the 90's I thought you were referring to saturday game shows
@acarlovonsexron19947 жыл бұрын
It was filmed in 1990 and 1991. The studio wasn't even going to release it until they realized all of Cameron Crowe's buddies that he got to be extras in the film and play on the soundtrack were all now massively popular less than a year later. The film tanked anyway, other than the time and place it had nothing to do with grunge. It is kinda cool though seeing the city and the locals as a quaint place right before a fucking tsunami wave killed them all.

I watched this movie ( VHS ) sooo many times it melted inside of my new $350.00 VHS player. I thought it was the end of the world. They only played a few Sound garden videos on MTV on Head Bangers Ball, and I couldn’t even record any of my videos on MTV anymore. It was pretty bad, I thought my life was over.

Oh man I just saw your comment you won't believe me but so did I I bought VHS two tapes of Soundgarden live and I'm 92 they were rare and it was well it one of my many precious owned things will go with me to my tomb Oh how pathetic I sound watched singles nonstop ... @michaelsullivan25197 жыл бұрын
Dani Vargas we all tucked our shirts in the early 90's. Sadly.
@DanieVargas7 жыл бұрын
Michael Sullivan Nuh-uh!! Cuz you would've had a long sleeve shirt under your shot sleeve shirt and to would've been WAY too bulky to tuck in!! My hubby is STILL living in 1992!! LOL...
@michaelsullivan25197 жыл бұрын
Dani Vargas truth! Haha short sleeve shirts with the sleeves rolled. Tucked! (If not over the long sleeve) covered by my sleeves cut off flannel
@DanieVargas7 жыл бұрын
Michael Sullivan And the shorts needed to be longer!! Otherwise you looked like you were wearing boxers... like I said, my husband STILL wears the grunge uniform. Long johns under his shorts (which must come to his knees) or his jeans with the knees gone (he won't throw any of his jeans away), work boots untied, long sleeve shirt with one of his many tshirts, with his long hair out... the man is still living the dream.

This movie was a huge letdown. I was 15 in 1991 when Grunge exploded. Generation movies should be a coming of age movie. No one wanted to see 20 somethings and their struggles.
@leinonibishop94803 жыл бұрын
you realize all the people in the grunge bands were in their mid 20s? it was a movie about their lifestyles, not about 15 year olds that just discovered rock and roll.
