Back in 2023, we sent Chris Harris to Millbrook where he met up with Marino Franchitti, the Singer test team and an early development car used to test DLS Turbo services.
Chris was part of the team that explored the 911’s naturally aspirated heritage through our DLS services, beginning in 2016.
He's back with us, as we explore the world of forced induction. With the first completed restorations arriving next year, we take a look behind the scenes with our latest film.
Join the team for some questionable woolly hats and niche jokes about chocolate bars.

Personally speaking I'm not a big fan of the rear end (trying too hard), but that's just me. Sounds great and clearly being engineered to drive brilliantly. I can't wait to see Mr Harris driving the properly tweaked version with nobody needing to be in the passenger seat! Rear end would stop me buying one.

Thank you for your videos mate.. . Crypto education is what the world needs the most right now. I don’t think that buy and hold is a valid investment strategy anymore. Not too diluted and to a degree, follows Angela’s trading ideas and signal tips for your portfolio growth and aggressiveness. She is a woman who has not only taught me what the cryptocurrency trading world looks like but a secret to uplift my finance. Buying crypto and waiting for the price to shoot up is not the best way to invest in the market but buying and trading is. Angela Dawn Hudson trade signaIs does the heavy lifting, generating competitive returns for crypto traders and investors in the form of money and peace of mind. Time in the market vs. timing the market. If you keep that mentality as an investor, you will stay calm during the storm! Within some months I was making a lot more money and have continued on that same path

I had a 964 DLS, it was called the Ella commission. Sold it to someone in Scotland who changed it to the ‘Peppermint’ commission. It simply just wasn’t a good car. It’s hard to stuff modern tech into a 34 year old car and make it work, nothing actually synced properly and it kept on breaking down. I really hope this Turbo is a lot better than the original DLS and they have worked out all the bugs because they are beautiful to look at.

These videos feel a bit like the ones with Gordon Murray and Dario Franchitti that documented the development of the T50, except the DLS Turbo was at Goodwood last year, so it seems a bit odd to release videos as though it's still in development. Also, I probably would have had just Marino and Rob talking about the car. Marino is obviously the more talented driver so I'd rather have his opinion than Chris's. The people who think Chris is the best reviewer also think Magnus Walker invented the concept of Outlaw Porsches. It felt like Chris sold out when he went to Top Gear, and now he's doing a road trip series with Paddy McGuinness...

Engineeer here, the fact they are so scared of dumping boost into it is a huge red flag...why isn't the Ed Pink team developing this Singer motor as usual?
@gt1r
@gt1r Күн бұрын
Ed Pink is not Singer’s only engine manufacturer…DLS-T engine shares architecture with the DLS (Williams engineered) engine. Singer has also used Cosworth, and several others early on. The goal here is not out right horsepower. The goal is not to go out and over stress the test car on its first outing. You build a car gradually, and find the limits.
@dodge3048
@dodge3048 23 сағат бұрын
This is an R&D car and this was filmed part year. They were testing an early iteration. To make it driveable on the road it's wise to get the calibration sorted for low revs and boost then gradually wind everything up and recalibrate as you go to ensure you retain the desired characteristics. If you just dumped boost into it you'd make life rather difficult for yourself.

I love this and all Singers, but the growing number of "tesla swaps" into 911s show it's simply a matter of time before everyone abandons ICEs in pursuit of pure ultimate performance. Listen to the conversation about "getting more out of it" & all the hoops they have to jump through to get more engine performance. If performance is THE goal, just go electric if more (horsepower, torque, acceleration - 0-60 in 2 seconds anyone?, every metric) is what you want. When will Singer make electrics? (have they?) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJXCgqWIjNd7gJI Yes, ICEs will be around forever for nostalgia & growing up through the 70s-now I love the sound of so many ICEs, but electric performance can't be beaten. Look at the McMurtry Speirling. It is untouchable.
