I love how complex poker like this is. Chin says before 3betting the AJhh he has a call if Chris 4b, which is instantly correct, however when Chris chooses 1100 instead of what Chin deemed proper sizing (900ish), it moves Chin to being allowed to fold under the assumption Chris can't fold to a shove anymore. Amazing how fine the line really is in this game.

Sisyphus him saying he gets a better price as it’s multi-way is just downright wrong and fish logic. Even though it’s an absolutely awful defend either way, you’d much rather defend vs just one player, as you realise equity better, and you’re less likely to be completely crushed. Is this supposed to be coaching?

@@MrPalmersquall anyone who attempts to learn through mimicking tactics is doomed anyway. If by solid strategy you mean an equilibrium strategy then the challenge would be for you to define the equilibrium. No two environments are the same and what presents as an equilibrium in a vacuum doesn't prove, necessarily, to be consistent in practice. Ppl actually interested in learning will derive a lot of value hearing the flaws and biases in people's dissection of each decision point. Imo, far more so than retroactively looking at how a solver would approach a spot vs an optimal response.

How does A4o have 45% equity vs A2s @ 25:16 ... I guess it's a split between them a lot (9 flush outs x 2 = about 18% equity... and Chris has 10% over Berky).. I know I would of over valued that for sure. (would of thought A4o would be much lower on a split board drawing against a flush)

"Oh he missized" stuff is clearly said to protect your ego in case you fold the best hand... Sounds like a habit to get rid of. Also from a UTG starting range you can probably exploit a 8x raise by continuing with premiums only or close to that, I haven't mapped it yet because who does 8x lol but hard to believe you have to continue with anything worse than AJ there
@christiansoto55914 жыл бұрын
Sizing is usually a representation of section in a range. Often people do mis-size in according to what their range is incentivized to do. It’s important to point that out to yourself. Sorry if that came across as ego attachment to you. Also, I guess in a way I’m glad I took an action that you didn’t already have mapped out. Generally it’s tougher when there is no pre-ran solve/map to give the answer. I’m open to hearing what the mapping says if you care to share with me.
@williamzagarella80662 жыл бұрын
@@christiansoto5591 but he did mis size. Calling there leaves you with less than a 1:1SPR. Before he 4-bet I expected a sizing of roughly 850, as I would go. I guess it's the correct size for his exact hand in this situation, but again, if he only takes this sizing with his bluffs, well, you get the point. That would have made me a bit curious and I may have leaned towards a jam considering there are going to be some bluffs in that range and when there are, he gets absolutely punished because of his sizing he almost becomes priced in. Against a bad player, snap fold. Against somebody capable, I like sticking it in at a really high frequency; basically 75% of my 3betting for value range. Folding the J10s and 910s QJs Q10s etc. Hands that dont block anything, and are obviously still behind some of his bluffs. But A10s AJs AQs KQs 99+, mostly gettin ripped.

Chin doesn't like Chris's 4 bet sizing because it prices him in on a shove, but then says he should have 3 bet bigger to make Chris fold or shove, enabling him to fold himself to the shove. Effectively what Chris did. Slightly more expensive for Chris to do it when 4 betting but it's the same principle no?
@Masterdebater143 жыл бұрын
300bb deep, wants to make it 400 to force chris to shove or fold, but think 1100 is wrong size 4b. How about making the 3b 200 instead and being able to call a 4b if he wants to
@williamzagarella80662 жыл бұрын
Chin did go like 8x already which is a little big. But for people say mis sizing on his part obviously not lol. Thinks he has the best hand and you want to be playing bigger pots, in position, when you have the best hand, no? I think that's perfect sizing. He actually ended up inducing with it. 1100 is the wrong sizing on 4b. 850-900 is the sizing you want to go with all your hands.

Hey bud. Poker Language is just a communication or translation of math. Therefore, as much as you say BS we making up, we just can’t make up math.
