Having CP3 play for half a season is the perfect scenario for the Spurs young guards to develop. Seriously, any other team will suffer from CP3 regularly being out with injuries during the season, but it will be perfect for the Spurs. In another year, the young guards will be ready when CP3 retires as a Spur, and he transition to become assistant coach to Pop, which will lead to him continuing his career as a great head coach, like all Pop's assistants go on to become.

@@TheIcemanthomasToo young to understand the importance of experience. He can teach things no one else on the roster could. Whether how to attack certain defenses, scouting techniques, the other nuances of playing PG at a high level in the NBA. The Spurs lost a bunch of close games last season, because they didn't have anyone capable of managing the ball in the "clutch". In contrast, Texas has no state income tax, which can significantly affect the net income of high earners. For an athlete like Klay Thompson, who earns a substantial salary, moving to a state with no income tax can result in considerable savings.
