I mean would YOU be happy if someone hit you in a VERY public way only to not be able to do anything about it? He handled it better than most imho! And he also kept his freedom! Lol AND made millions from speaking HIS truth on HIS terms! Best way to handle it if u ask me and he didn’t have to hurt anyone. 🤷‍♀️ AND to add he saved it for last for a reason. It was a build up then he can let all his anger out in the best way he knows how….humor.

When Will Smith appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and did all these pity me interviews like he was the victim, it became clear how great of an actor Will was because he knew he really had to perform at his best to save his career. Will Smith slapping Chris Rock had absolutely nothing to do with the GI Jane joke. If he wanted to defend his wife's honor by slapping someone, he should have started with August and everyone else who talked about them after her entanglement, but he didn't, hence the title Selective Outrage. By no means am I promoting physical violence towards anyone. however, I dont promote bullying either. Will assaulting him in front of millions of people was beyond tasteless it was criminal. The Oscars and Will got off pretty easy. Netflix said we'll foot the bill. Jim Carrey said he would have sued for $200 million. However, we know he would have had to agree to keep his wife name out his mouth!! 😆 🤣

Fact is, Will stole something from everyone that night. He stole from the others who were awarded Oscars (Questlove for example, who received an Oscar after "The Slap"). Nobody remembers Questlove's acceptance speech, but everyone sure will remember The Slap. Jada rolled her eyes at the joke that Chris made (and she's been very public about not caring if people comment on her hair/lack of). Will strutting up on stage, was all about HIM. Not about protecting his wife. It was about him. And when Will later came up on stage to accept his own Oscar for Emancipation, he apologized to everyone... except Chris! So when Will days later, in a pre-taped video posted on his Instagram tried to excuse his behavior as "going through some things", it came off as nothing more than damage control on Will's part. By then he was losing movie roles left and right, the Academy was considering banning him (Will left the Academy, still got a 10 year ban).

Whoopi is the only woman at the table who can move her eyebrows. Everyone else makes me wonder if the Botox comes directly to The View, or does The View need to go to the Botox for their injections? As for Chris Rock, he has every right to say however he felt about it and processed it. I'm glad it's his now. Until he spoke about it, it felt like it was on all of us to react for him in a way. @@wjmwdead Nah, Whoopi has brows, maybe not all the hairs, but her browline is intact and able to emote. These other ladies have literally paralyzed the muscles meant to express emotions. They've muted a vital part of their own non-verbal communication. I know it's meant to prevent wrinkles, but wrinkles tell a story of your life. Laugh lines are some of the most beautiful facial traits a person can have, and they're preventing lines like that, the lines that tell who you are and who you've been. Wrinkles tell the world whether you spent a life of anger or joy, fear or compassion. Not to wax poetic, but wrinkles are wonderful and beautiful in so many ways! I wish it was a more celebrated part of natural human maturity. Same with Menopause and Andropause in general. I wish aging wasn't such a taboo topic. Whoopi is beautiful. @@yvetterenee8256 Our entertainment aesthetic here in the USA is full of violent role models and fueled with fighting. When it spills over into IRL, those responsible for such "entertainment" make people like you desensitized to the harm it's doing to our civility. We keep seeing signs of it in mass shootings and cops shooting before asking questions, plenty of examples everywhere, and now this. I'm not blaming entertainment; but I want them to know this isn't okay. It's not ok BECAUSE it leads to people taking lives on the streets thinking the slap is nothing, the punch is nothing, the kick is nothing, the gunfire is nothing... Does it only mean SOMETHING when someone dies? Is that your limit to a civil society? Death? I think that's entirely unreasonable and distasteful too. I won't allow myself to be desensitized like this. I refuse to accept this behavior. I won't normalize it. This kind of "WWE" behavior outside the ring is preposterous beyond measure. Funny, but also intense! I remained interested and watched it in it´s entirety and may watch it again! This one felt much deeper and personal than his past performances, likewise made sincere and interesting observations about the universally, dysfunctional social state of the Internet-jaded masses. I liked how he cleverly hid his own opinions on the current "woke" issues ,and, yeah "selective outrage" really nails it! I was happy to hear his side of the story in regards to the unknown details surrounded and indirectly, fuelled that fateful incident at the Oscars last year. I felt he was holding back a bit, out of concern for possibly triggering certain individuals, but of course he said he would. I noticed the same with Jim Jeffries on his latest special. Holding back on the edgy material, seems to be a trend amongst many comedians lately and sadly, it kinda dampens their delivery. The only comedian who hasn´t bent to the "do not offend, lest ye be cancelled" rule, has been Ricky Gervais. Just my opinions, folks! Cheers from sunny Finland!
