To move your song (or bourbon) to the front of the list, please bribe us by sending a bottle of bourbon, preferably one we haven't had on the channel yet, to: BCR 484 E. Carmel Dr. Suite 155 Carmel, IN 46032 Be sure to include your song request in the package!

Chris Stapleton was already famous as a hit songwriter before releasing his first solo album. He wrote songs for Adele and Luke Bryan and has 15 #1 hits as a songwriter alone. At the CMA Awards this year he won fot Best Song, Best Album, and Male Vocalist of the Year.

I'm so glad you did this version - the guitar solo isn't on the studio recording. There are a few more songs from this ACL performance (including, IMO, the best version of Tennessee Whiskey, which he sings with his wife.) Also, speaking of a song with a man dealing with repercussions of his own making, "Nobody To Blame," is just a fun one from him. I second the request for his cover of Metallica's, "Nothing Else Matters," that came out on The Blacklist. It's still country ... Stapleton style ... but more of an outlaw country/country rock. He has another guitar solo on that. "Worry B Gone," is a song about his favorite green smoking plant. And, "Devil Always Made Me Think Twice," are fun upbeat ones, too. :)

Guys you HAVE to listen to Chris Stapleton singing FOOL ME AGAIN. He is much younger and does not look anything like he looks now. The video is on a cruise ship and there are some old school country stars on the cruise to. You will be amazed at Stapleton’s vocal talent on this song. Morgane getting Chris to get out front and also to do his songs for himself was a great gift to us. He’s written so many songs for others, including Adele surprisingly. He had terrible stage fright so Morgane is always right there with him. As a songwriter, check out “Daddy Doesn’t Pray Anymore.” They were running late for something and Morgane was tired of him hustling her, so she said to just go do something; maybe write a song. He wrote that one in 15 minutes and it is worth a listen. They tell that story on another KZbin video.

It must be a male thing, lol!😃 I don't get chills from him but I do 100% love that damn growly voice of his. He makes me feel. @kayweathers4879
@kayweathers4879 3 жыл бұрын
@@LadyGator1983 The original song was first recorded in the early 1900's so there is no video for the original however there are quite a few covers of the song including Roy Acuff , Bob Dillon and The Soggy Bottom Boys ( which is just a lip sync). The reason I would like the guys to watch Home Free's version is because this song (along with most of their songs) shows how great an acapella group they are, the vocal percussionist is amazing along with all of the singers. This song is a great place to start with getting to know what Home Free can do as a group. They also do a great version of " When a Man loves a Woman " , and have a song called "moonshine " which I'm sure the guys will like. Is there a reason they shouldn't do Home Free's cover of " Man of Constant Sorrow " ?
@LadyGator1983
@LadyGator1983 3 жыл бұрын
@@kayweathers4879 No, I think it’s cool for the home free version. I’m just curious what the guys would think about the movie version of the original release. I want to see original, I’m talking about for the movie. The movie was funny as hell! I watched George Clooney lip-synching this song is and it’s funny too. That’s the only reason why I was asking. I knew George Clooney wasn’t the original singer, because it was somebody else. George Clooney doesn’t sing! 😂 😂 😂 Thanks for the info on the song. 😊

@@LadyGator1983 yes the one by The Soggy Bottom Boys is humorous but the one by Home Free is much more impressive because they use no instruments all sounds are produced vocally. They also sound as good live as they do in the studio, no auto tune like most singers use today.

Veteran's day song request and bourbon recommendation!! Songs - wrong side of heaven by FFDP (thia is rock but as a former homeless veteran, it's a good message to spread) Song - A Soldiers Memior is a country song about PTSD awareness. Two versions below (Mitchell has a better video for visual ) (Joe has a better voice in singing) Bourbon- Axe and Oak Mountain Bourbon from Colordao springs Axe and Oak disterally.

I can't even listen to Wrong Side of Heaven. Just can't. And not because it's a bad song. It's an incredible song. But I can't listen to it. We'll add A Soldier's Memoir to our list (if it's country). And thanks for the bourbon recommendation. If we can find it, we'll get it on the channel. - Keith

@@BourbonCountryReacts I'd send a bottle but I live in Utah and can't get it here due to laws.. I have to make a trip to Colorado and buy a case once a year. I feel ya, the song is rough. As a disabled USMC vet that was homeless, it hits me hard! Soldiers Memoir is country and both versions are nice.. one hits harder video wise and the other is softer listen

Chris' playing tends to be low-key, allowing his band to add to his work more effectively. He must be a great collaborator to work with. Think of how a great player like Buddy Guy would have played. There would be more of the guitarist and less of the band, and the guitar would dominate a bit too much for some people, while others who are in it just for the solos would have appreciated it more. That is what makes music interesting; the personality comes through in different approaches. I love this guy.

Not sure if you would be interested in a country A Capella band, Home Free. (Country A Capella.... Weird, I know, but trust me....) They are incredible! They are a cover band, for the most part. Every member is just stupid-talented. Give them a try on the song, Man of Constant Sorrow. You will be absolutely amazed!!

Have you done a Review of Jim Beam Devils Cut? I'm not a sophisticated Bourbon guy, but this one has been my go to for over a year. Would like to hear your take on it. Priced at $34cdn or 27ish usd. Paired wit Vern Godsin song Chiseled in Stone. A Texas country song, unique sound.

G'day boys, He chops pretty good ay??,,, there's probably a lot of people out there that could do the same technically, but would they have the same heart?... there's a couple of aussies boys, brothers, named Phil (passed away from an asthma attack May 2018) and Tommy Emmanuel that play guitar, and I reckon they're a bit of alright... Tommy did a video where he was playing Classical Gas, it kinda rips mate... might be worth a look see in your own time coz it's not a country piece but it is fan-friggin-tastic... I'm starting to catch up with all the vids, this one makes #50 in something like 3 or 4 days, so by that rate, I should be caught up by Wednesday... ;))

Hahah, glad you're enjoying the channel. As for Tommy Emmanuel, that dude is a guitar deity. Easily among the top five acoustic players in the world. Especially true since Roy Clark's passing. He's up there with names like Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle. And I'm pretty sure Molly cites Tommy as one of her primary influences. Tommy is just a beast. - Keith
