I’ve been the same, I’ve made one day this year and just picked up some super cheap stuff to get me started. But at a time will upgrade stuff but I have put ‘need the right gear’ in the way for far too long haha. Started this year, and I suck. But gotta start somewhere man 👍 subscribing sir 👍

This is a proper creator setup! And I get the feeling you genuinely use and love everything in it. I'm currently finishing off a new desk setup (video pending) and I have to say those under desk drawers were the real game changer for me 😅 watch out for a few pennies from that affiliate link! lol

Took so long for me to get it the way it is now but I do genuinely love every aspect of it haha. Thanks for watching and using the links 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It’s a good looking set up that sir. And despite not being a M1 MacBook video, I think it’s the one that’s tipped me to get one ordered and give the final cut trial I go….

The 2020 model is SO cheap for what it offers. Definitely worth a go Ian

fantastic setup! I am making a couple changes to my desk setup and then I have planned to release a video as well. I always appreciate seeing other creators work areas and workflows. Always seem to pick up a few tricks that way. Also I was surprised to hear you pronounce aluminum the way you did 😜.

Haha Jake your the second person to mention that now. I wanted to record something in the edit to correct that 😅 need to get back to my roots!! Thanks as always for stopping by

Something from staples, nothing special. It’s not bad. For long edit sessions it gets a bit uncomfortable

It’s actually the stock Apple one on the latest OSX!

Also custom built my desk - custom piece of wood on top of dual motor leg system. Mine's got 3 memory positions which is quite handy when switching from sitting to standing position while working. Glad I bought it as I tend to use that more often than I thought I would and it's healthy. I was considering Edifiers but went for PreSonus E4.5s. How's the deskmat? Is it easy to keep clean?
@chrisbrockhurst2 жыл бұрын
Surprisingly yes, I have a lab that shreds like crazy and it’s pretty hair free
@michaelscaplis2 жыл бұрын
@@chrisbrockhurst so that's either a cat or a rat but I'm guessing the former :-) Interesting. I'll check them out. Currently using a Razer one with RGB. But don't like the wire even though the RGB is nice (matches the mouse and you can link your Hue lamps to it) but I prefer less cables. It's also not that easy to keep dust free.

I've been looking to pick up a couple aputure 60x's and possibly the spotlight mount. How are you liking the spotlight mount? Do you find the 60x or 60d is enough brightness to make the gobos clear? And I have a pretty small studio at the moment. How far back does it require to have sharp edges?
@chrisbrockhurst2 жыл бұрын
The 60X is incredibly bright, I actually have it turned way way down for the gobos on the backdrop here. No issues there at all. I’ve been running it about 7-8ft from the wall if that helps
@thisiseric2 жыл бұрын
@@chrisbrockhurst awesome thanks for the info! I'll probably grab a few this year!
