I recall hateing the extended swingarm on my GSRX1000, unless you are starting from a dead stop on a sticky drag strip you just spin spin spin. If you ride street, anything over a 6" extension is a waist of money, time and effort, and if you widen the rear you are just increasing rotating mass. Not even sure if you actually gain traction at all with a wide rear now that I think about it, unless you go 1500lb nitro methane drag bike.

I can feel a difference on my 636 just in me dropping weight 10-15 pounds, at 160lbs she definitely feels a solid HP-2HP faster

45 makes a difference for sure when I bought my 06 and switched to fiberglass fairings and a short hot bodies exhaust I could feel the weight difference. And losing 30 pounds once made difference as well

I did that with my 03' GSRX1000 years ago.. anti-squat would require a "jacked up" stance, which would actually be a standard ride hight except with a longer swingarm. Which then also creates more bounce on the rear, which makes it spin even more, and or wheelie if the tire hooks by some miracle of nature. The best is to allow the bike to drop as you roll on the throttle, or "squat" down a bit to soften the inital forces, and prevent a wheelie. Anti-squat basically rides the rear tire below the pivot point of the swingarm, preventing suspension compression, while counteracting the weight transfer which changes according to rider weight, hight, seating position. This is why properly setting up suspension is cruicial. Or you can just go NO rear suspension, meaning replacing your monoshock with a steel tube, which is very popular in drag racing circles.

Some engines just much stronger then others as well. My k6 1000 bought new would destroy my buddies k7 1000 bought new next year and I could tell when we switched his felt like a dog and he was like holy shit your bike scares me 😂

@@CESONER Probably shorter gearing on the k6 than the k7. Engines (in normal condition) will vary like 5hp~ and at these power numbers that doesnt change a whole lot when it comes to actually feeling the hp.

@@CESONER I had an hot bodies slash cut short muffler and power commander 3 but even without that my bike was much faster. Both stock gear and my bike pulled harder every gear all the way top speed and I weighed 30+ pounds more then him. Even if we did 60 mph rolls and I’d give him good hit and ride around him. We went to dealer he bought it from and they said they had seen up to 20hp between some engines on same model bikes. They told him that I got a good Monday engine and my buddy got a Friday engine. I told my buddy thats bullshit but it’s your bike do whatever you want. It was to much bike for him anyways so he just rode it. Wish I never sold mine biggest mistake ever cause it was extremely strong I loved that bike.

If your riding in a T shirt a leather jacket would be a plus but optimal protection is obviously full leathers, but that would be asking a bit much. There is quite a bit of luck involved here as Its usually not the slide that kills you its the sudden stop when you hit an immovable object, being an ex road racer with some high speed low sides you learn to slide better and thankfully most tracks have good run off....lol.
