@@ChrisRogers correct me if im wrong but the gopro with coating removed was mounted on the right, therefore its the one with droplets. unless you have switched them in post. you could have put a label which is which in that case.

My bro, have you had any fog issue with max lens? For skydive in brazil is fogging all the time :(

have never had fog but that's usually when there is big change in temperature, I know when skydiving it's cold air up high so make sure your GoPro is not in the sun or getting hot before you do that.

Chris, this will be lengthy, but hopefully insightful for you: Be prepared for some disappointment with "The Remote". While the battery life is astonishing (8 hrs powered on only takes it down to about 90%), that's about the only thing that they got right. It randomly disconnects quietly (without any audible beeps) and will drive you insane... and WILL cause you to miss great shots. When it does disconnect from the camera, it rarely, if ever, reconnects itself. You usually have to remove power from the cam to get it to reconnect. And don't even try it with multiple cameras! I figured you should know, as you seem to be more photo-centric and it's important that things work the very second you need them to. I run two 9s on the kayak for fishing, with one of the cams behind me and slightly out of reach. I keep them externally powered and running in Hindsight all the time so hooksets are not missed. I keep the batteries removed to mitigate overheating. I have them remoted so you don't hear me say "GoPro Start Recoding" every time I catch a fish. I improved the disconnect situation quite a bit by getting a second remote and having one dedicated to each camera. It still happens a few times per outing, but was impossible when running the two cams on one remote. I've installed waterproof disconnect switches on the power cables to make the reset process a lot faster. And that is a ridiculous set of steps that consumers just shouldn't have to take. "Our product sucks very badly, so buy another one to mitigate our screwup that we will probably never fix, because we generally abandon our products when they don't work as we claim they do". Read: First remote, 4 Black overheating, Karma, etc. Thanks for the tip! I have a Max Lens Mod that was intended for snowboarding, but I don't think it's going to help that situation. I went out once with it and had ice crystals stuck to the lens and ruining shots... even in dry powder. So I quickly put it back in its case and haven't used it since. I suppose it won't hurt to try, though. Nice work, man! Much appreciated!

Hiya! Is there a way to graduate the G-Dome filter so it decreases sky exposure? Thanks for any ideas. Had a grad filter on my 8 with a ulanzi case and miss it, the lens mod will never permit this :(

I was excited to get my GoPro 9 Black for my upcoming backpack trip, but the camera would not work out of the box. I attempted to charge the two batteries I received with the bundle, however, the second battery would not charge. I played with the second battery and was able to charge it to 99% overnight. I viewed all the beginner KZbin videos and thought I would set up the camera and shoot my first video. But......upon trying to navigate the settings on the camera's touch screen, I could not access any of the settings. I was limited to 2.7 video mode. I tried to navigate the camera for 5 minutes before the camera battery dropped from 99% to 83%. Maybe 5 minutes searching for additional settings. The camera became extremely hot. Uncomfortably hot!! I removed the battery and inserted the second battery I received with the bundle. I was now able to access the settings, however , the touch screen was so bungled, I could not select the option I was pressing. I pressed and pressed the ICONS, but the touch screen was not picking up my selections. How has this camera gotten so many good reviews? I had shot about 1 minute of video on this camera while trying to become familiar with it, but the camera would not function. I am not one to quit or give up, but am returning the camera. I really wanted this camera to be my go to camera, but it was a disaster.
