Max showed Lewis at his best in a faster car was not up to the the skill of Max in a slower car even when Lewis was allowed to pass off the track and maintain position.

Why on earth would he feel embarrassed about this? The guy just led a racing team to an F1 driver's championship in dramatic fashion. Regardless of your bias, regardless of the questionable lobbying and rules that day; why on earth would a person feel embarrassed about celebrating that hard-core. PS: I'm a Ferrari fan, not a Max or Red Bull or Horner fan. Neither am I anti Lewis.

​@An_Arbitrary_Miscellany I think his point was that you would feel embarrassed about having to do those things to win not about his celebrations lol... I mean the FIA have admitted that rules were not followed and the end of the race shouldn't have been conducted that way. The report said that either none of the cars should have been moved and the race restarted or all the cars should have unlapped themselves and the race finish behind the safty car. Eitherway Christian appealed to the want to put on a show and pushed to have just the cars between the two moved and no others. I think that's what the commentor was saying he should be embarrassed about. Regardless of which side you fall on its abit ridiculous putting the show aspect before the sport aspect. F1 is a sport first and a spectacle second. In no other sport would they consider changing how they implement rules just for the show of it. Personally I don't care, I find both sides blind faith amusing but it does set a dangerous precedent for F1 becoming less a sport and more a manufactured show, which would suck.

The only people that screwed Lewis that day... were the ones that thought "TrAcK pOsiTiOn" was crucial, when fresh tires would've been more helpful! Lewis had the power advantage, with that new and improved engine of theirs. Even if he would've ended up behind Verstappen, Lewis would've won! His own Mighty Mercedes team failed him that day, they used the strategy of cowards and Lewis trusted them enough to go with it... Masi was within his mandate, he adhered to the request from *ALL* the team (Mercedes being the loudest, ironically), to *NOT* end a race behind the safetycar! *Especially* a title decider!! Just fyi, I'm an F1/race fan first and foremost!

@ don’t forget the 2 lapers that were in front of Lewis ,he took few laps to pass them and then the yellow comes out,before the yellow ended they made them rejoin in the back of the pack,they were between Max and him , Max didn’t fight them to pass like Lewis,sketchy rules specially fighting for the championship
