This preacher is the kind of Christian I wish more people were like. He's such a caring and kind person who truly wants to do good for his god. I'm an atheist but I've always appreciated people like him. For my many years apart of the church I only met a handful of people as loving as that guy.
@DeathBlackWish8 жыл бұрын
***** Well none of those things came up in the video so we don't know what his stances are. I'm not going to judge him by what he believes and just immediately say he's a homophobe. Just like I wouldn't want him to immediately assume I have no morals and kill babies in my free time.

+VICELAND As a Vice viewer since 2008 I find it saddening how tone def their programming has become. Subscriptions seems to have stagnated while the few quality programs that do get produced are sandwiched between uber-liberal, hipsters crap. Many of the programs remind of a terrible course I took in Uni where any deviation in thought from the professors was viewed with disdain and disrespect-which is kinda fucked when I look back to how Vice was founded on deviance. Oh and trying to charge me $2.49 to watch a fucking Vice episode that is up for FREE on the Vice website is the lowest, least classy and least correct form of business out there. VICE save yourself from all the unoriginal hipster losers and get some decent reporters and programming back! My advice is to quit hiring reporters based on how hip they look and instead focus on how deviant their perspectives and ideas are. Oh and disabling the comment section is for those who can't stomach reaction to their work. Tent Preachin however is some of that classic VICE we should feel lucky to be watching given that the majority of the content these days is self entitled garbage.

As a former Pentecostal worship leader, this is the nicest documentary I've seen on Pentecostalism. I appreciate the humanity it shows. and the interviewer is really humble too. I think people observing Pentecostals can get easily distracted by the loudness and downright craziness of it all, but at the end of the day, these are people that are really excited about a hope they found. and that's really beautiful. can't wait to see more :)

I'm an atheist-agnostic (personally atheist but won't say I know there isn't a god because I don't want to sound arrogant, but almost certain there isn't) but I find it very interesting to see how humans have such a strong desire to be wanted or have a purpose. That's what religion is, humans needing a purpose other than expanding the human race like all other animals. There are thousands of religions and each person part of that religion thinks, for the most part that theirs is the 'true' religion.. But it's only true to them.. They choose what they want to be true and it gives them a sense of purpose or that someone needs them. The only thing about religion is it almost always tries to hold back science and other social issues. Let's all remember, without science most of you wouldn't be alive, also thank the 93% of scientists who are atheist.

"93% of scientists are atheists" is inaccurate. That was published in a magazine article 18 years ago (it was 72% atheist and 21% agnostic) and more recent surveys show that approx 51% of scientists believe in God or some 'higher power' while 41% are atheists. Not trying to start an argument or prove a point for or against atheism I respect everyone's opinion but I just wanted to show more accurate facts.

They don't need egotistic, legalistic, fear-mongers, and they don't need spazzy attention whores with show-off-y productions. A great community (whether it's faith-based or not) needs and utilities the knowledge, experience, and perspectives of each of its individuals. Props for your take on this.

And I must say I am not religious nor do I share the same beliefs as Christian's. But I will say, Pentecostals are some of the most sincere heart warming optimistic religious people out of the whole bunch. Also not very pushy and and overall good people.
