All you have to do is listen to his last talk in the Sunday afternoon session of last October's General Conference. There was a tone of urgency in his voice like I have never heard before.

Yes, but this is where people get confused. The leaders are definitely expressing a sense of urgency, but does that mean the second coming is happening tomorrow? What is it that this sense of urgency is being directed to??? I would suggest that the urgency has to do with gathering of scattered Israel. The urgency is that we have limited time to accomplish this work which we more than likely made covenants in the pre-existance to perform this work. Do you really think we are just going to waltz into the second coming. We have work to do, it's kind of like children at thanksgiving time when they want the desert ( apple or cherry pie) but they don't give it a thought about the work that has to be done ahead of time to prepare it. We are simply not going to waltz into the second coming!!!

I witnessed such beautiful spiritual giants our youth going to the temple every day , they go in huge groups , they walk reverently coming in and when they live the temple they glow like angels .. I'm looking forward going every day , I'm having major trials every day I can't barely breathe and when I'm in the temple I feel so much peace it gives me strength to make it another day .. I'm so thankful for living 3 minutes from the temple .. thank you Father for allowing me to live in this latter days to get to witness the gathering of Israel every day by this special youth .. our Savior is returning soon .. I can't wait !!

We hosted an Interfaith service back in November, and we had so many compliments - particularly, on the commitment and activity among our rising generation. So many were impressed by our Primary choir and said things like, "You guys must be doing it right to have such strong youth." ❤ There were other Christian churches, Muslims, Sikhs, Jews, Buddhists, Cherokees, and still others in attendance. It was a lovely evening!

My patriarchal blessing says that I am blessed to be on the Earth at this time, and that I was allowed to come to Earth at this time to complete my mortal mission. I have always felt that I would be here to meet the Savior in his second coming, coming in the clouds with power and great glory. I had a dream where I was raised up into the heavens, and there were others around me, and I woke up before I turned around. The time is now to prepare! But I also feel to say that nothing is more important than our personal relationship with Jesus Christ and our father in heaven. The Holy Spirit will guide us, and we will be guided by our prophets and apostles, and strengthened to be closer and more able to access our savior’s power through his atonement and through our temple covenants. The time is now for mankind to prepare to meet God! 💛

I had a similar experience in the temple. He said "I cometh quickly." And directed me to continue looking for the signs of his coming. I don't know how soon "quickly" is, but he deff made me feel that I will be here for it (as this was in response to a prayer in regards to the subject). I'm in my mid 30's for reference. ❤

While the younger people will carry the weight of the missionary work, it is the older generation carrying the weight of the genealogy and temple work. And gathering Israel on both sides of the veil requires both young and old to accomplish.

I think this is the final team too!!! My oldest son is on his mission now and my second son is preparing to go. It’s just my feeling but I think they are the end of the ones serving on this side of things… just a hunch. Maybe the ones going this year will do both. 😉

Another baseball tip, the second half of the 9th inning is not required if the home team is already in the lead. Baseball is different, it’s the sport where the defense has the ball. Not sure if we’re the home team or away team? I could see points for both sides of that coin. If we’re up to bat in the bottom of the 9th, then the game is tied or we’re behind and we/Jesus is going to hit a walk off grand slam!!🎉

Just some thoughts, Jared (& anyone else who reads this). Regarding 'finest rising generation'. I too used to think, "Hey! We were told WE were!!!!" And FOR THAT TIME it was so. And MY generation's 'work/job' was to prepare for THOSE THAT FOLLOWED so THEY could be even MORE prepared than we were. Each time it's said, it IS so. Now as to the repetitiveness. It struck me how Alma the Younger's generation kinda' slacked - or at least we hear about him and his cronies going about destroying the Church rather than building it up (sound familiar??). Alma the prophet (Alma the Younger's dad) and other prophets elsewhere were probably CONTINUING to give the SAME message as our recent/current leaders are: you're the best yet; stay on the covenant path; prepare for Christ's coming. So, are we (my generation and the other adults) continuing to pursue and teach personal righteousness? What do ALL the children around us learn about Christ from us and are they ACTUALLY preparing? Do they know TO prepare? Or are they (the current rising generation) just ignoring us; Christ's message; all of it? Or are we teaching the rising generation to just be pharisaical? Just my thoughts. Best to you Jared. You're doing your part. 😊 Both at home and abroad.

Is this the team? I would overwhelmingly believe that it is. I have one son on a mission and another preparing to leave and the work happening is absolutely astonishing. They are harvesting in their Father’s orchard. In my own son’s mission there has been many miracles. His mission is a miracle. I would argue that they have what it takes in these latter of the latter days.

Here is some rough math based on those numbers Baseball game = 27 outs (9 innings x 3 outs per inning) x 2 teams = 54 outs per complete game. Technically less, if the home time is winning they dont play their last 3 outs at bat. 2022 (time of quote) - 1830 (restoration) = 192 years Last half inning = 48 outs completed (8x6) 192 years divided by 48 outs = 4 years per out Therefore: potentially 12 years left - 3 (2025 - 2022) = 9 years +/- = 2036!!!!!! That would potentially be the longest. He only said bottom half of last inning- could mean an out or 2 already occurred.

Quick correction-each inning actually has 6 outs as each team will play both the field and be up to bat. Love the fact that you took the time to look at the math! Since we are in the last half of the 9th inning we have 3 outs left.

By the way when you correct for the right amount of outs and recognize that the last half of the 9th inning means we only have 3 outs left(potentially less since being in the last half of the ninth inning means we could be 1, or 2 outs done already and still be on that time of the game) this gives a remaining time of around 8.29 years if all three outs remain.

I think he was surprised to read about the gun not going off as we all were. It seemed that way. Our memories change as we age. That's a fact also. It turns out, even with just the current membership numbers, and with plenty of breaks, we could cover the entirety of the billions of human beings that have ever lived on the earth in a few years. What, then, is the purpose of the rest of the Millennial period? This caused me to meditate upon the vastness of God's creation and the promise to Abraham, that his seed would be as numerous as the grains of sand, and as numberless as the STARS in the HEAVENS. The craziest thought that has ever occurred to me, is that our mission, after being collected to Christ, will be to go forward to the worlds outside of this Earth and to bring the Gospel there.

At some point the current program will end and the missionaries will be called home. Then the Lord will proceed with the next phase of the program. Note also the statement about the Ancient of Days in your quote, this is referring to the meeting at Adam-Ondi-Ahman. Which clearly has not taken place yet. By the way, these multiple scriptures that mention the Lord fulfilling his covenants to the house of Israel. This appears to be some kind of waypoint or point of reference. None of the events that are tied to this have happened yet. What is this fulfilling the covenants to the house of Israel referring to??? I think this is a point of reference used multiple times throughout the scripture and yet few if any members seem to know what it means.
