My mother is in her 90s. She received a call from her grandson asking for money because he was stranded in his car and needed help. She recognized his voice but she felt something was wrong. She hung up without responding. She called me and found out he was fine and someone used his voice. I had no idea that could be done. I’m so happy my mother decided to verify with me before responding

Thanks, Pam for the informative video. Here's some added suggestions: ~put your phone in airplane mode when not using; don't sleep w.your cellphone or keep it in your bedroom; Look for the front camera lenses (look carefully for them as there are 2 on both sides of the top of screen- unless these are covered you might well be being spied on-- goes same for computer & tv lenses (direct advice from Edward Snowden- put tiny bandaids over these lenses). Re: Food Recalls; Be discriminative, yes, BUT, consider that we are being assaulted with real food being taken away while being simultaneously bombarded with fake, toxic, lab-created 'food'! Be suspicious? ABSOLUTELY! Also, be suspicioys of all the "sky-is-falling" news about bird-flu this & esp. the false flag connect of it to cows to humans (ask any common-sense farmer & they'll tell you its a lie; meanwhile they're destroying small farms & sacrificing untold hundreds of thousands of non-diseased animals‼ Don't fall for these supposed "health authorities tactics. Lastly, just don-t take my advice alone-- look it up--do the research yourself. As Pam says, we have to help each other; but first & foremost, help yourself first by waking up & self educating on all this....

Many of the ones who do calling and online emails scams are actually being exploited or abused. Like crime rings will tell people they have a job for them in a neighboring country, get them there, then take their passports, and basically keep them prisoner. Often local law enforcement is in on it as well so they have very little options.

Recent story: I tried making “Christmas Crack” (aka Butter Brickle) to take to our local MAG group December meeting. I’m no culinary school graduate, but I’m also not inexperienced in the kitchen. The recipe required cooking 2 sticks of butter and 1 cup of brown sugar. I followed directions, cooked away, noticed some slight smoking only seconds before the pan’s contents flashed totally black. So, I pulled out a heavier pan & did it again with the same results. We’re blessed to have a chemist-turned-marketer in our local group and I asked her if she had any input after hearing my sad story. Her IMMEDIATE response was that she suspected plastics in the butter. WHAT???? I had exhausted all supply of Food Lion (a SE regional chain) butter in the failed attempts but tried it again using Costco Kirkland butter with perfect results. The Kirkland ingredients list reads cream + the “natural flavorings” no producer is required to list in detail. I dug the FL box out of the trash to find that butter contained milk (1st), cream, “natural flavorings” and a couple of other things I don’t now remember. Bottom line is that I believe I’m swearing off Food Lion “butter” forever… I haven’t looked at Walmart’s butter; we don’t have any other grocery alternatives here in TinyTown, NC. What we DO have in our local central NC area is a small grocery store that carries Amish products. Yes, the price to buy is higher, but I'm thinking the overall price is much, much lower. I've also given up on ALL meat products from grocery stores. I have loads of grocery-store meat products canned and I'll certainly use those, but every meat product I buy in the future will be from local, CLEAN producers.

@gracekarina7186
@gracekarina7186 2 күн бұрын
Correct ! Make your own butter. It is very easy, buy half a gallon of good heavy cream, I buy from our local (farmers market) put it in the freezer for say 30/ 40 minutes to make butter as cold as possible but do not let milk freeze, then just add content into say a Kitchen Aid mixer start blending at moderate speed at first, then increase speed, and perhaps 10 minutes later the butter separates from milk and you have a good amount of butter and butter milk. Make sure you rinse the butter thoroughly in cold water to rinse out the remaining milk content within the butter. Add good sea salt to half the portion and leave other half unsalted. Presto great quality butter.

The problem is bromine in all those products but really bromine is all around us. It’s in bread, pool chemicals etc. What it does is covers your receptors that suck up nutrients and the only thing to kick it out is iodine. So since you’ll never fully avoid it, you can still do something about it. Read up on it with Dr Brownstein and get a bromine/iodine test to find out how much iodine you should add to your diet. Especially if you are suffering from exhaustion, this could be the thing that helps you. 💞

Makes me wonder when they'll tell us the silicone gadgets that have come out in recent yrs aren't good for us either. I've personally chosen to completely ditch most plastics. I got rid of all silicone. It took me a long time to figure out why sometimes my food tasted and smelled weird, especially anything containing eggs. Even biscuits would sometimes taste weird. So I experimented, starting with just scrambled eggs. I'd change just one thing, like the pan, or the bowl I mixed the eggs in, the spoon or spatula I cooked with, even the brand of eggs. It became obvious very quickly that it was silicone utensils. I then made biscuits, with and without using silicone spoons. The silicone made them taste weird. Then, FINALLY, I SMELLED the utensils......they all smelled like old food. No matter how well I cleaned them, even soaked in Dawn, then bleach,, or vinegar, etc, they still smelled. I should add that I am a "super taster" and have a heightened sense of smell and taste. I often sense these things when others do not. So, my sister thinks I'm crazy, but mom believes me, and got rid of her silicone, too, lol

Thank you for informing with verification. It is now after 3am on January 1st and I just removed all of my black plastic kitchen utensils (I had many) and I had some of those very same food prep/storage containers. Out they went! I reordered 2 metal handle spatulas but with silicone bases. Gosh, this is frustrating to think that they would use recycled plastic from something that has a harmful ingredient. I respect you telling us and without hysterical actions. You inform, guide and offer solutions.

Kudos to you for addressing this very important issue. I’m retired now but was in information technology and then information security for 21 years. A friend of mine just got scammed a couple of weeks ago for her personal information. Thankfully she called me and I told her what she needed to do. This reminds me I haven’t posted anything recently about what we need to be aware of with scammers. I’ll be sharing this on my Facebook feed. While I consider myself tech savvy I am rusty and I am older. I practice all the steps you mention. They are necessary. It is no different than locking my door. My door is locked all the time. When I was younger our house was never locked until I was an adult. Times change and we need to adjust to that change in ways that make sense. I’m a big fan of logic.

One tip I have been using for at least 10 years and didn’t see it on your video. When I get a phone call and it isn’t one of my contacts, never use the words okay, fine, yes, alright etc. as this is a trap that they can use to prove you agreed to whatever they want to scam you with. Also, a person in the household with dementia should never answer the phone as they may say yes when they mean no. Happy New Year Jim and Pam! Kathy in Burlington Iowa
