when i worked at a greenhouse we used a small piece of cardboard under our decor pumpkins to prevent too much of the nasty happening over time. it doesn't prevent degredation entirely but it can help to prolong the life of your pumpkins underside.

Christmas has always been my very favorite time of the year. I've never been good at decorating and bringing it all together. But I always made sure the living room was cozy. My favorite thing to do was to bring down the lights, turn on the tree and either listen to holiday music or watch a Christmas Movie. I have to say, this is the first day of my 59th year and I would like to just sit in your living room with the lights low, tree and candles lit with holiday music playing. When my kids were little I did the traditional over the top oh so bright whimsical Christmas decorations just because I loved how it made their faces light up with joy but now that they are all grown and have their own homes the minimalist christmas decorating style has become my Christmas theme now that's its just me and my husband.

Love the new orientation and tree! It's a very comfortable vibe and not overdone. I think your tree collection (the ones that would fit) would also look good on the windowsill as an alternative to on the bench with a garland over the window like you did over the dining arch.

Love your new tree! I want a different natural open tree this year too. Going to do a real one I think. I live in a 100 year old rental apartment and of course the gas fireplace has been closed off. I have a fake crackling log that is on a traditional iron log holder with a great screen in front. It makes for a cozy atmosphere in winter. It doesn't look cheap. Your fireplace is so pretty it may look nice . Thanks for your videos and the light you bring to the world!
