Going back home anytime of year is wonderful but I'm glad you were able to visit at Christmas time to capture the true beauty and heart of the town!

This is so lovely!!! Reminds me of when we'd head to western KS (Dodge City and Cimmaron) over the holidays - a lot of the small towns we'd pass through on our way from Wichita had lights / decor similar to Wakeeney's. I feel fortunate to have such great memories and connection to a more wholesome time and way of life. Merry Christmas, Coach Wise, and thank you for your channel! 🎄😊

Been there a few times during the Christmas season. Awesome site. First time I heard about the WaKeeney Christmas Lights was in an article in AAA Magazine sometime in the 1990s.If I remember correctly the article stated that WaKeeney has the best light decorations until you reach Denver.

Sadly Kansas City Kansas’ downtown used to look just like this from the 60’s to the 70’s - then “supposed progress “ in the late 70’s KCK no longer put up Christmas decorations and downtown is now a bunch of defunct businesses empty bank buildings Politicians Progress have ruined Kck from the 70’s all the way to recent times Happy Holidays🎄 Love everyone of your trips
