I agree 100% with u. I had a f1 flowerhorn in my big 350gallon amazon cichlid tank. He was huge, but wasn't the king of the tank. The trick was the space, and adding him into an established tank with cichlids equal sized and then bigger and smaller then him. He wasn't top of the pecking order but also not bottom. Then I kept him divided off for a few weeks when I first added him. He was kept in check by my giant male chocolate cichlid (who ran the tank) and also my true parrots. Worked great and was a lot of fun

Another great video. If you have been fish keeping for a while , this should definitely make sense. I just recently purchased 2 flowerhorns, and have had them less than 1 month. An obsession is starting. Love your channel man keep them coming. I also dig the 2 hybrids you won from the pet store, they look neat.

My flowerhorn is in with devils, green terrors, and 4 of the 5 parachromis species. I have no problems what so ever. I have convicts as dithers. 1 buddah, and a dempsey.

I never owned own but from what I’ve seen when you put flowerhorns in a big tank (especially when there are other fish in it) it takes away their personality cause they interact with the other fish where as if they are alone in a smaller tank they can interact with you (which sounds kinda cruel but if most people say to keep them alone I don’t think they mind). Otherwise they just become any other boring fish, pretty for sure, but boring when it comes to personality. PS: RIP FRANK

Flowerhorns are highly aggressive unless raised from young in a community. They can be very nasty towards other fish.

Guys I have kept flowerhorns for a while....take this warning. 1. Flowerhorns are bred from the most aggressive cichlids 1 in 20 may have a less aggressive temperament that can be kept with other fish but there will still be the odd fight. These tend to have been raised with other fish. 2. Should you decide these fish are for you be prepared to set up another permanent tank in your home for your flowerhorn, try him/her in the community tank, you will know within a day or two if you need another tank. 3. My flowerhorn will fight to the death with any other fish he is put in with.......... Even fish 3 times his size......

everything is 'flowerhorn' exclusive to give the illusion that flowerhorns have exclusive needs, anything exclusive has more value according to this phycology, especially asians believe in this, you see the arrowanas and the rare rocks in rich asian homes, the flowerhorn exclusive stuff is just people exploiting this phycology but there are ingredients to help with flowerhorn quality like kok developmewnt
