It demands you not only learn an in-depth strategic combat system using tiny plastic entities, it requires you to purchase, sculpt, assemble, paint, and name(if you so choose) each individual entity as per ever growing lore. The hobby demands talent. Every time GW tries to make this game available to a "wider audience", it suffers. I have also never met a celloist who wasn't a multifaceted individual, some people are just built different and need certain peculiar hobbies.

I'd like to see/hear more of the 'primordial' past of the Imperium, Mankind, the Aeldari. Big E/Neoth is purposefully wrapped in mystery, I understand that. However, a better glimpse into how things run, even if speculative, is endlessly entertaining. I think a massive Revelation (if you'll pardon the pun), would be a glimpse into what Big E Thronesitta is dealing with, how he's fractured. Maybe even stories about his supposed fragments of his psyche.

I dont think a real BL author would write the Emperor asking, "are you a chicken".

They instead write stuff like: "moving at the speed of darkness" "atrocifying blackhole" The End and the Death also has, Space Marines whispering and moving slowly in the Phalanx, because traitors will hear them in space if they peraonally make too much noise. BL writers aren't the best. The 40k novels are all pulp fiction, in terms of genre and production. Its only their price that has changed over the years.
