My strat for the golem twins is to immediately hit them with ice 2/water 2. They'll copy water tech, which does FAR less damage than anything else they could do. Low enough to heal through while still damaging them. Just remember to ALWAYS end with an ice 2/water 2 move right after using something more damaging. They can still Iron Orb, but none of that massive single target damage stuff.

27:10 The Sun Shrine (also known as Sun Keep in the SNES/PS1 version) is indeed part of a side-quest, but this and the rest of the side-quests of this game are in the endgame, so I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little later in the main story until then. Just make sure to remember of that one area called Sun Temple (also known as Sun Palace in the SNES/PS version), as it is involved in the side-quest of the Sun Shrine. 35:03 Aw. I guess you couldn't figure a good magic or speed strategy to beat Spekkio, and if you level up too much out of this range... Well, I guess it just means you won't be able to challenge this form again, and you'll miss out on some rewards, but don't feel bad. Spekkio's rewards are not really worth obtaining in speedruns (...or rather, it's simply too slow to fight Spekkio for the rewards). 37:55 Sadly, you can't call up your time machine. You currently must find it in whatever time period you left it or at End of Time. 41:53 Since you obtained this Sealed Chest, and the others, here in 1000 AD, you can go take out the Sealed Chests in 600 AD to get two pieces of armor for the price of one. A trick exists to get the higher item before finding the lesser ones. Examine the items in the 600 AD, but when the game asks if you want to open it, say no, and then go to 1000 AD, interact with those chests and get your results; you can then travel back in time and take out the lesser items as well. 44:21 Remember that time gate you took to flee from guards after Crono's execution? Well, after charging the Pendant at Zeal, the path to this open glade will be blocked. The only way you can access it is by going through the Gate at the End of Time that says, "Guardia Forest - 1000 AD." 52:01 And yes, two stars on a stat except for HP means the stat is maxed out and can't go any higher. 54:03 It looks like when you defeated Magus, the monsters began to praise Ozzie instead as a savior. 56:04 The Sealed Chest on the right would've given you a katana for Crono that would grant him 30% extra crit rate, 145 attack, and +3 speed, but the Guardian Helm can do well against lots of physical attacks. 1:14:51 Luminaire is Crono's most powerful magic attack, and it's AoE. It may even be stronger than Crono's Frenzy tech. 1:20:20 The Golem Twins tends to be a repeatedly tough fight even for more experienced players. They can be extremely difficult to beat, because there are two of them, and they are also extremely fast (their speed is probably at 16, so unless you've been really saving up on Speed Capsules, it'll be difficult). Setting the Active Time Battle (ATB) mode to "Wait" might also help as well as setting the ATB speed to around 6. They also copy your elemental attribute of the attack you use (this applies to physical attacks as well). If you went around and opened the sealed boxes in all times and kept all the colored vests, though, this yields only two of each color. Stocking up on Ruby Vests in Prehistory will suffice, as they resist 50% of fire attacks. If Lucca is in the group, you can equip her with Taban's Helm and Taban's Suit. The vests help quite a lot in this fight, since they can absorb elements that are based on their color (red vest = fire, blue vest = water, white vest = light, black vest = shadow). A common speedrun strategy is to inflict the Golem with the Stop status if there were a skill like that and then hacking away at the Golems with Falcon Strike. If you charm the Golems with Ayla, you can obtain a total of 2 Magic Capsules.

The Golem Twins are definitely not hard for veterans, winning strategies just aren't obvious for newcomers and the way the fight is designed you don't get a lot of leeway to experiment before getting obliterated.

Doing level one magic spells go mid/late game bosses spells disaster

Are you referring to like fire 1 vs fire 2? I was doing single target to avoid hitting the other sister

Fighting the two Golems after a hiatus of a few weeks is bound to end in a desaster, probably the toughest boss fight in a first playthrough. Generally speaking the game won't let you be underleveled unless you skip a shitton of fights but yeah - it is tough so don't feel bad. You might want to switch to "wait" for battle Mode or at least lowet the speed because honestly, at your input speed you are kind of playing with a self inflicted Handicap. No offense intended, I am enjoying your journey very much.
