He was the King of Rock and Roll, the guy who influenced and inspired us all. Here, he is old and clearly relaxing and having fun with the old tunes, not at his sharpest or best-- but... the guy was still a lot of fun and a joy to watch and listen to!

big difference between his energy and playing between here in 2007 and 2013-14... I'm always amazed at what that short period of time can do to a person at the late stages of their lives. Doesnt happen to everyone, but to the vast majority are claimed by that bad 7 years.

I remember reading a medical article sometime ago, when or if a person hits their late 70's and onward, every year the break down in the body becomes more like a year and a half to two years. So if you're 80, and turn 81, figuratively speaking you're about 82 and a half years old or 83. That's why sometimes you see people who were spry despite their age just suddenly start to decline in a few short years.

Im italian and unfortunately the audience doesnt understand the lyrics , is not able to sing along neither have any clue of what ding a ling lyrics talk about...:-) when I was 14 I went to see Springsteen in Torino in 1987 or 1988 I cant remember.... anyway at the peak of his success and to make the audience sing he played La Bamba.....thats the way it is ...we listen to english songs because we like the music but most of the times cannot even translate the title.....its just bizarre how much english and american music we listen to and gets radio or tv airtime especially considering the fact that we dont understand the words....:-)

Italian public is terrible. People know only two-three songs. When some "evergreen" is used in the ad on the T.V., or in a film so people want to listen to the old songs. If "Unchained melody" or "You never can't tell" hadn't be introduced in "Ghost" or *Pulp fiction", most of italian people wouldn't have recognized them.
