I have a couple of these I use at my church and they have been wonderful. My media laptop was giving noise from the power supply and this device fixed that issue. It has a clean sound that you don’t lose any quality of your track. Found these about 5 years ago and been using them with NO!!!!! Issues.

iConnectivity is my favorite. There is something to be said for minimalistic gear, but I have found I spend more money upgrading as my needs grow when I think too small. I have done MAudio, PreSonus, MOTU, Focus Right. And the iConnectivity is the best most reliable, flexible gear out there. Although the Loop Rig (or is Track Rig) from Loop Community looks great!

I really appreciate this video. Been following you for a year. Finally auditioned... between your mentorship and SK template, I was able to really impress the team. Been playing with them for months now, and our worship has definitely become more tech savvy! Oh, and my sound guy laughed when I pulled out this Peavey USB audio interface, but then he was genuinely surprised with how well and clean the sounds I was sending him were. Thanks Jake! I'll come shake your hand next time in CO.

Thanks for the info. That is a great cheap alternative. I am using a audient evo 4 for my set up.

Not to be the downer here, but I use an interface to get cleaner, higher quality audio than the built in headphone port. My church has gone through three of these and faced a constant low white noise in the absence of signal being sent on all of them. IMO, if you can afford it, go for the Radial USB Pro, or something like a Focusrite.

Any other audio interface in your list to get multiple outputs just as the track rig by loop community does?

How does this stand in todays market? Still one of the better ones for a MainStage, keyboard rig?
@OleksiiSolonenko Жыл бұрын
What about stereo? If we have only 2 outputs and use them for playback and metronome playback will be in mono. So it doesn’t fit our needs with playback I think. And sometimes it’s better to have guide and metronome in different channels so musicians can adjust their levels separately.
@DanBires4 жыл бұрын
Or you can just use any usb interface and use balanced 1/4 inch cables coming out of the monitor outs. They are all balanced. Same thing.

Question: Do you need to PAN left and right the channels at the DAW or can you just assign the left or right output of the Peavey USB-P directly to the DAW channel, say Click track and Backing Tracks?

Thanks for pointing this device out. I like the simplicity and price. My only question from the video is whether an interface really saves on processing. While I'm sure some take more than others, having the interface itself isn't necessarily cutting down on processing is it?
@Churchfront6 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure having the audio interface's external soundcard does help with your computer's processing. Usually computers don't come with amazing soundcards built in.
@KazKasozi5 жыл бұрын
The digital to analogue conversion for the audio is happening in the interface hence releasing the computer from having to process that directly. It is way more efficient.

Where you using any audio interface before this one ? We currently use main stage to a Behringer UMC 204 which is great but we have to run 1/4 inch cables to direct boxes to mixer it would be great to eliminate that part of the signal chain. Assuming level and sound is clean

Churchfront with Jake Gosselin Thanks for the recommendation. I am more of a video guy and no nothing about sound equipment.

For recording vocals I would use a Shure SM57. Only a hundred bucks but sounds similar to the SM7B.
@JuanCamacho216 жыл бұрын
Great! Thanks for the help. Is there a way I can contact you later if I run into any other questions?
@lukeramlet2756 жыл бұрын
the SM57 is more of an instrument mic used quite a bit for drums and other sorts. I think you meant the SM58 which is still $100 and is one of the most commonly used vocal mics.

I bought this audio interface. The 3.5 to DI box is a pain in the behind (don't ever touch the wire or you'll hear scratches and buzz). This solved tons of those audio issues. It was so cheap I was able to buy it for our small Church. I'm using Alesis Harmony 61 to Ableton Live+Sunday Keys on Windows laptop to Peavy USB-P to mixer. Saying hi from Philippines.

@LuisArmadaJr5 жыл бұрын
This may be a silly question, is it okay to use XLR to 1/4 cables in order to plug into a D/I box? I noticed your church setup uses XLR to XLR into that sub snake device. I’m not very versed in this topic. I just want to make sure there isn’t any sound or stability difference between the two setups.

Hi - I enjoyed your video as I am brand new to Mainstage. I have a brand new MacBook Pro that has two USB-C ports and a single audio port. I'd like to purchase a hub that will give me at least 3 USB-C ports and some standard USB ports. Do you have any recommendations? If use the Peavey audio interface you recommend, along with a power source for the Mac and the line to my controller keyboard, that will use 3 USB-C ports, unless I can use a standard USB to run from the Mac to the audio interface.

Does anyone know the latency that you get from this interface based on 128 samples? Specifically in mainstage.

Old post....but.....I'm thinking about using this for my software synth run from a laptop. Are there any noticeable latency issues when using this?
@ferny91795 жыл бұрын
Neal Evans there shouldn’t be. He explained this when he talked about the interface processing sound much better than main stage does, in other words, there should be no latency
@j_gray5 жыл бұрын
Question: Could I in theory use this to have a total of 4 audio outputs from my Mac? The peavey would be XLR x 2 and then I would still have my headphone out? I'm thinking run Ableton tracks through the Peavey and then use the headphone out for Mainstage/Sunday Keys output.
@jacobtinsley11064 жыл бұрын
HI 10 yeared audio engineer here. To answer your question No. you are completely bypassing your laptops soundcard so if you are using any external audio interface you are limmited to the number of inputs and outputs that interface has.
