As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have an innate desire to be better. Instead of trying to reach your goal all at once in a burst of energy, break down into small and simple steps that remain consistent over time. For, “by small and simple things are great things brought to pass” (Alma 37:6)

I needed this today. I’m not a Mormon (I’m Catholic) but we can all learn a lot from a tortoise. We often hear the advice that life isn’t a sprint but a marathon. The same can be said about our goals.

One thing that stood out to me was the story of watering a plant. Dumping a lifetime of water on a plant would not be good. Watering enough for each time period, say, 1 time per week is good, depending upon the plant. Daily scripture study, especially of The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, is essential to gaining Eternal Life. And as President Benson says, ..all things will fall into place. True. I am grateful for this video. The gal got up when she fell - so important to do; to try again and again until success is achieved. #GiveThanks #LightTheWorld

We have time for working on just one thing at a time….I have discovered that, and I am 65, and have lots to work on after illness, when I fell back into bad habits. Now I just need to use more discipline and determination to get back to where I was. One step at a time!!

I've always wanted to play piano for the services on Sundays. I started when I was finishing the college. It was so hard to study, graduate and get piano lessons because I was so bad at piano. After, I started to work and it was more complicated dedicate time for piano. I got frustated and quit for a time. Some time after I asked a brother who was married, had a child, work, calling and more how he had achieve to play piano so nicely. He aswered "20 min a day" he told me before he went to school and while his mother prepared for going out he played only 20 min a day. From that moment I applyied that, and now I can see a nice progress.

This video came right on time! The topic of divine discontent has become more meaningful to me as I've continued to learn about it in relation to my own life and actions. Taking small actions can be overwhelming for me, but I'm constantly learning that there is no harm to start now, and that in fact, it will help me, and my family, get a bit closer to the joys we want, now and in the future.

Before you may think that what I'm going to say is useless, I do think that God called me to this video because I stepped outside and asked after I watched a video about the rapture coming soon and how I'm not devoted entirely yet, and I asked the Lord to help me out with this problem, and I went inside, and I had another need for social skills because I have Asperger's and I am desperate for a realistic and fulfilling relationship that is pure and innocent. If you have come to this video and somehow come to this comment, be patient as the video wants you to be, but also be prepared.

Any person trying to be or try to be a KZbinr no matter what religion you choose or are you in, Follow the LDS process (I’m a catholic) but The Church of Latter Day Saints seems to explain things much clearly and being a slow turtle or similar take that step don’t care about anyone that seems to make fun of you or whoever it is for not doing something fast enough. Isaiah 44:8 “…is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.” We can know with confidence that Joseph Smith was a false prophet because he said that there is a plurality of Gods. Repent and flee from the LDS. Come to the true Jesus Christ of the Bible.

I have a question (I’m not LDS): you’re calling yourselves brothers and sisters i’m assuming because we’re all part of the family of God. My question is what do you call your non-binary Family members?
@jeanlikesart376
@jeanlikesart376 3 жыл бұрын
You are correct in your brother and sister assumption. The church believes our gender is a define gift of God. However, we also understand that the feelings of everyone who is non-binary or otherwise are legitimate and real. If a non-binary member were to come along people would/should refer to them as whatever different term they prefer. Perhaps Sibling?

"Brother" and "Sister" are common terms of address and what everyone is used to. You can see official Church policy at www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/general-handbook/38-church-policies-and-guidelines?lang=eng#title_number118. One paragraph states, "If a member decides to change his or her preferred name or pronouns of address, the name preference may be noted in the preferred name field on the membership record. The person may be addressed by the preferred name in the ward."
