I love that he’s getting emotional about how special it is. The beauty of fishing is that we are always chasing the dragon and when you get a good dose and the conditions are perfect it’s important to pause and enjoy it fully.

Caught my first ever carp on the fly (cicada pattern) yesterday, in my kayak, here in Dayton. I was skunked by them the day before, when I was out, but caught so many bluegill on a dropper. Your videos, and instructions have really helped to get me back to fishing/fly fishing, after many years away. I'm hooked! Keep up the great work.

The Salmonfly Hatch is my dream every year. I take vacation from work and fish the first 2 weeks of June. It’s like hummingbirds flying everywhere, they’re just giant bugs instead. I CAN NOT wait for the Salmonfly hatch this year!!! I’m blessed to have it. Awesome video man.

I LOVE THAT SOUND!!! I had the pleasant experience of fishing a cicada hatch about 30 years ago, on a canoe float trip in Central Alabama. We slaughtered the bream and bass. I mean largemouth, spotted, and redeye bass, bluegills, redears, pumpkinseeds, warmouths, and green sunfish all were gorging on the things. We went home, put a little extra black Sharpie on our ¹/¹⁶oz black Roostertails, along with a little orange fingernail polish. We went back the next day and caught over 200; mostly bass! I just had to have some of your cicada flies; they look awesome. I pray that I live long enough to hear that sound again! It IS the trip of a lifetime. 🪰

WOW! What an awesome outing the variety of fish was crazy. I went out last weekend and I was watching my fly drifting downstream and it got taken by a snapping turtle. Thank God I smash my barbs so I didn't have to just cut the leader, surprisingly he didn't fight it was like he was just inviting me to get my hand close to his mouth to get my fly back, lol.

That firs carp, woah nelly! Its really something when you catch such a fish on a rod not really rated for it. I was pan fishing with a 5’ ultralight and 4lb test down here in Florida, on a creek as wide as a 4 car lengths. Not a fly rod, its too tight to use one. I have caught small bass here b4 and there’s a big variety of fish to catch. However I NEVER expected to catch a 5.5lb bass. What a carefully calculated fight. The bass certainly had the advantage, but after 10 minutes I won…..barely. 40 of my line was ruined though. I’m pleased Brian had the patience to pull this off. You should have lost the battle. Its quite the accomplishment to win when the playing field is equal. Congrats Brain. 👍

I will not be able to fish the Brood X "hatch" (in quotations because i know it's not really a hatch, or is it, lol) because I live in Texas. But I did catch a 6.2 pound channel cat on a 5 weight rod and #6 wooly bugger. I think I was using 2X tippet. Needless to say, when he decided he wanted to run l let him. So much fun!
