Malaysian Chinese food incorporates purely Chinese dishes as well as some that are uniquely Malaysian Chinese i.e. with spices and Southeast Asian ingredients. This particular dish is Nyonya (Straits Chinese) because of the combination of Southeast Asian ingredients like tamarind, lemon grass, and cincaluk. Please enjoy... :)

If you do rinse it, then your cincalok will be gone
