Bro textures do not work on a volume mesher. it remains mono colored.

Hello thanks for this awesome tutorial but i have a real problem, my object is a extruded spline, and when i've done all this steps and activate the "Smooth Layer" my object disapear from the view ? I tried to do that with a sphere it worked perfectly but not with an extruded spline, help please
