Interesting, I find the "bold strategy" line funny for totally different reasons than the sin in this video. The joke is not that Pepper is unaware of Cotton announcing the forfeit (as Jeremy says), rather it's a comment on the color analyst on sports telecasts - that is, stating something so obvious that it didn't need saying but doing so with fierce conviction. So e.g. a quarterback throws an interception on a crucial third-and-long, only for the analyst to pipe in with something like, "And that, Jim, is not what Trubisky wanted to do at this point in this football game." Of course, when Pepper says the line, he's commenting on the ultimate form a decision that won't likely pay off. At least, that's how I've always enjoyed that line. Maybe I've been around too many broadcasters, especially ones early in their careers. 😛

They were always left-leaning, but tolerable the first few years. Once they started reviewing comedies, I knew the end was nigh. They're 100% woke now, sadly.

@@tboyd5150 As someone who’s stuck around to CinemaSins for this long and listening to their podcast, SinCast, it should be worth noting that CinemaSins is made up of 6 or more writers, all of which have varying opinions on what they like or dislike. So these videos are not all of Jeremy’s (the narrator’s) opinions. Listening to their various podcasts including Behind the Sins, i think it’s pretty clear CinemaSins has become very woke in the last 3 years, probably since 2021 when they sinned Wedding Crashers. But after listening to their main podcast SinCast for a long time, it’s also very clear that Jeremy, Chris and Barrett have been seemingly praising and quoting films like Dodgeball and all the various comedies they’ve been recently sinning, but I feel like ever since Barrett retired from the CinemaSins team at the end of 2021 to support his family, what remains left of the team have now become way too PC and woke, and it makes me sad seeing Jeremy tweet about Step Brothers after he sinned it, compared to the podcasts I’ve been listening to where they used to have legit great senses of humor. I still want to support these guys because of the podcasts they’ve done takes me back to a time when they were once more laid-back and less crank-asses about comedies
@1993seanmcg5 ай бұрын
If CinemaSins wants to become Social Justice Warriors, then they’d have to go back through each year in history of anything that could be considered offensive, which means the comedies from the 80’s like Porky’s, Revenge of the Nerds, Sixteen Candles, etc. CinemaSins really doomed their own channel by deciding to sin comedies, starting back in 2021 when they sinned Wedding Crashers, it all went downhill from there. But at least listening to old episodes of their podcast, SinCast, will take me back to a time when these guys could laugh and enjoy all these comedies that they’re now ruining with their videos
