I have been using Infinite Woodwinds and Infinite Brass, which do not require keyswitches for different articulations. They only depend on velocity and various CC's. Much more playable, without the need for dozens of tracks or keyswitches. No need to combine separate tracks when preparing a score. And hopefully, Infinite Strings will come out soon, with similar capabilities for the strings.

Good points! Regarding Keyswitch there may be also additional effort if you need to transpose, because you need to prevent to transpose the keyswitches. Apart from keyswitches there is also an option to use different MIDI channels, in FL studio the notes get different colours and you can directly see what is going on. There is no transposing problem but routing problem is the same as for the keyswitch

My main template is multi-instance, but it contains a sketch section that is key-switches.

Hi, I'm trying to learn how do you record different articulations with the separate tracks for each articulation. Do you play everything on sustain and separate it after ? I'm talking about just one instrument with 8 possible switches and how do you play them for recording, At a point I imagined that you would need to record the sustains in the first take, the staccatos on a second one and that doesn't sound fast nor intuitive, there's gotta be a better way to do that. (cinematic studio strings is a coincidence because I used them on my last one)

Everything is very instructive and would be very educational if he played the parts that he is demonstrating and teaching.

I have a third option to work with KS, create them separated (in the same kontakt instance), then creat a midi track to rule all and the keyswitches triggering the midi tracks. It's the best way i found

I don’t think I understand. The midi track is in your DAW and how does the keyswitch trigger a midi track?

I load every single articulation (spiccato, stacc, pizz, sus, trem...)in a kontakt, each instrument has a midi input right? (A1-a2..). You only need a midi track, and a modified expression map, which instead of sending notes to change te articulation, it change the midi channel

I use Reaper and there's no articulation maps manager yet. So, this video might be exactly what I need to learn. Amigo, te agradezco tus videos. También quisiera saber si es una buena inversión el controlador Evolution UC que tienes. Encontré uno en venta, pero no encuentro opiniones al respecto.

Para mí es el mejor controlador que hay :) But that's just me :P

Reaticulate! Aunque es más intuitivo utilizar distintos canales dentro del mismo piano roll para mi en Reaper : )

Existe Reaticulate para reaper amigo, si todavía quieres te ayudo a configurarlo!
