Actually we don't know how many games there were, so there's no saying if that's all the survivors. We can't even tell if all the women are pregnant. Women can be like Luke and trick others for their survival. I feel at least half of those people are ambiguous whether they tricked others or not. So it shows that the games had a mix of both good people winning and bad people winning.
@blackhoudini70704 жыл бұрын
Anthony Nguyen I can understand that but the guy in the video made it seem like everyone just threw their morals out the window and wanted the strongest of mankind to live. That was probably the best twist in the movie, personally, I think he had good intentions at the start, but when the situation got more dire, he chouse better them then me. @deanitanurkhalisa6524 жыл бұрын
@@doctorbleh4110 i found one comment stating that the reason why the unborn baby counts is because when the women fell, she lied on top of one of the circles which detects life symptoms (heart rate etc?). I hadn't though of that, holy crap. Really puts his plan much much further back than I had thought. Actually? I think thats actually precisely what happened....but hear me out. No one was able to actually leave their circle they were standing on and when someone was eliminated they were eliminated by the alien technology and no one could really have an opportunity to investigate their bodies more closely before they were removed. I think the technology wasn't actually doing what they make it look like its doing. I mean if you want to kill people off as a means for "population" control? There are certainly more efficient ways of doing it rather than have them go through this insanity. There is also the fact that its fairly obvious that the aliens are capable of seeing whats going on and understanding their responses. I think this was after all a test to see what Human beings would do under such a pressured environment. Would they descend to their baser impulses or would they ascend to protect the most vulnerable as long as possible. Since we only got to see the last 'survivor' for a few brief moments we have no reason to presume anything as to why he among others were apparently put back on Earth together in that location, but I am supposing that if their invididual locality, which ship they are on and their return to the ground has no bearance on it then perhaps those who were "killed" (though no really dead) during the test were disseminated similarly based on the nature of their actions during the test. Its entirely possible when we see The Last Test Subject standing there with others it could be quite possible that He and the others with him have been returned to Earth because they didnt "Pass the Test" sufficiently. I am aware there was a pregnant lady there and a couple of kids and a smattering of other types but in the long run psychopathy, cruelty, self-preservation at the cost of anyone else is not necessarily limited to just guys like him. A kid could have chosen to kill the last other person or betray them. The pregnant ladies on the ground could have been just as self-serving. Their being pregnant doesnt just automatically make them "Good People".

It would suggest to me that people were just being grabbed from narrow areas, so a different ship might have mostly kids and few adults if it was near a school. Likewise pregnant women might be more common in hospitals, dr. offices, or support groups, but otherwise pretty scarce. You have to remember that these are extremely intelligent aliens. This is the obviously an experiment to show what many humans would do when faced with either sacrificing themselves or manipulating others for there own preservation. When you think about it like that, it would honestly make sense that they are all just knocked unconscious instead of killed. But that’s just a theory, a game theory.

One thing I just realized with the man that hadn't voted the whole time is that when they did the round where "everyone" voted for the person to their right, the circle counted them successfully doing so. What should've actually happened was a tie between everyone in the circle except the person to *his* right since that person wouldn't have had his vote.

I love the concept of this film so much and it’s so simple. Whoever it is doing this to us is doing it humanely and for the well-being of both the planet and humanity. People are being allowed to at least try and make choices as to who deserves to continue our species, one out of fifty.
@victoryomorodion2786 Жыл бұрын
How is this Humanly and how does it serve the well being of Humanity? The guy who survived definitely wasn't a good person, he killed all the good people and probably even killed the unborn child. People in the circle learn to be cunning and in some cases to fully rely on their worst traits, there might be selfless people, but i don't know if that is the status quo.
@-dopeland-3349 Жыл бұрын
It’s humane in the sense that when death comes, its instant and without pain, and it gives one person the opportunity to survive. I say it benefits the planet and humanity because the planet is overpopulated, and this process would leave 2% of the current population alive. Yes people would die but in the big picture, that would be a good thing I believe.

I feel like films like this often lose any form of message during the end, where there's no solution offered or any like "well if they just did x they'd be fine", and it just comes off as spiteful and only says that humans are shit end of film. It's like if that trap from saw 5 where they had to work together had no solution, it loses any constructive message of solidarity or togetherness.
@speedslider39134 жыл бұрын
It seems the ending showed pregnant women and children among the survivors, so the message isn't ultra pessimistic, just that there will be jerks and sociopaths that win, but there are still many moral people.
@MEEHOWtv4 жыл бұрын
And I like that, because we are shit. We can't even wear silly masks to protect others, not to mention sucrifice ourselves for them.
@Manganization4 жыл бұрын
@@speedslider3913 seems to me that the film was trying to say that there was no wrong solution to this extreme situation. It's easy for people to say that saving women and children are morally right, but when it comes down to it, your choices don't matter much when you're faced with death and very little agency. Your life isn't any more special than a child or a pregnant woman, but we're conditioned into protecting women and children in certain societies. Saving women and children alone isn't really a good idea in the long run if you consider that this is happening to everyone else in the world.

Only the Mexican immigrant, and the teenager boy Shaun, and the one woman who’s son died named Oscar who killed Herself, the African American man in the suit who also sacrificed himself first, and the little girl and pregnant woman felt the most innocent and hero like to me. Especially that little girl at the end wanting to give her life up for a baby when she’s a baby herself.
