Nice project. I have already built an Arduboy from scratch but I didn’t manage to make a nice enclosure for it so I think that these kits that include the enclosure are great.

I remember when I was young I had to 20 electronic devices in one that had the springs that held your wires in place for the different components.

I love this kid of projects the only thing i always fails its creating the game, i know those block based things are made for creating simple thing but i try to make demake of big games. Imagine portable nuclear throne with a dpad and 2 buttons sounds crazy fun but i could not for the life of me get enemy AI right. And like other people said this device looks very cool

The screen looks like there's nothing protective, glass, bezel on top of it. The battery compartment isn't protected from the sides either. Some of the switches and buttons are exposed. The Arduboy was better sealed. I wonder if this runs Arduboy games. Or Picosystem games. All these different microcontroller consoles introduce different specs, so you probably can't run games from different devices, making the community fragmented. It looks like it has ESP32, which is nice, you can probably connect to Wifi.

Man I wished I had a conversation with you before I did the review … You bring some good points! A lot is exposed, but it’s more for learning I guess (and learning not to drop it!). It is ESP32 but no Wi-Fi component unless if you added one I guess.
