I haven't seen anyone point out the fact that he put "SOS" in morse code throughout the song. THIS is why I love Citizen Soldier; they make music that speaks for the broken, the lost, and the hopeless and brings awareness to mental health for everyone through music and lyrics. Bravo, Citizen Soldier, bravo.

"Just leave me lonely" what a great line to explain the dichotomy of wanting to be alone but desperately wanting someone to reach out and connect with. You're lonely and you don't want to be but you can't bear the noise others bring so you isolate. Great song!!

Jake is a songwriting genius. He's practically the Ernest Hemingway of songwriting: totally underrated and absolutely awesome. These guys could easily get a record deal, but it's probably best that they don't. Record labels tend to restrict creative freedom. I like them how they are: heavy lyrics that pull no punches.

"Don't pity me here in my cage. The darkness is my one escape" Now that is the line that really hits home for me. I can honestly relate to this now more than ever before, both emotionally and physically. I spend what time little free time I have Isolated in my room, away from my family by my own choice. I love them but at the same time I cannot stand to be around them because they're the kind of people whom are always so negative and hostile towards each other as well as anyone who gets involved. They say they want to see who I really am on the inside. But every single time the real me shimmered through the shadows, he's shunned, shamed, judged and rejected everytime. So I guess im just alone. I can't say I know what acceptance feels like, but I can say that I'm used to that by now.

At that moment, when I saw a few minutes later of scared she was that I would do something to myself, I fully realised what I have been doing the past two months. What I really have been doing. To myself and to my friend. Now that school knows, I am so so scared that I can't put it in words, and I have difficulties relaxing and sleeping. On monday, school wants to speak me again. And your Music helps me to hold on until Monday, without bad behaviour. Thank you So much for giving words to feelings we cant describe, but feel so deep. To Citizen Soldier Hi, I’m 14 years old and I have been with you for a year now and you have been the second-best thing that had happened to me after my family. When I ever felt down your music would always make me feel better again. I came to know you by the song ‘Would anyone care’ and it was five days after ‘I’m not okay’ came. ‘Would anyone care’ is now on my top three songs of all time. After I heard the emotional song, I checked your channel out and listen to the other songs you have released. Every one of them made me feel sad but happy that someone else out there feels the same as me. (Not that I want anyone to feel that way though). Every song you had released after I came to listen to your songs were all so perfect. They all had touched my heart. And the fact that you release so many songs so often I amazing. Other artists can’t begin to compare against you. But that fact made me realize that how often you release those songs that something has or is happening, because other people that don’t have the experience that we have felt can’t write songs like this that touch the heart of who have. (Or if it’s not I'm sorry). I have a wish that you could make possible, but if you don’t want to its ok as well because every song you have made is a masterpiece. The wish is could you make a song that has the title ‘It’s okay to cry’’ or ‘’Let it all out’’. I know it’s hard to make a song only from a title believe me I've tried but you chose what you want to do. You have been my favorite band since the second I heard your song. Keep on the good work and touch the hearts of others that have it like this. You’re a rising star only to grow higher and higher into the infinity. I really appreciate the things you have done and I want to say one thing: ‘’Thank you’’. I will be waiting for the next song with excitement. (I will send this again, because I was pretty late for the new song, so I hope you will read this.)

Perhaps the perfect time for this to come out. So many people have experienced so many dark things, and to even try to explain them.... it's like choking on your words. So many times there are things people don't want anyone else to see, and we hide from them because it's scary. I just want to say that, to those of you who see this comment and who are hiding, it's okay to mourn. It's okay to cry and grieve, it's okay to be upset or angry. It's okay to feel. It's part of being human. It's not easy, and it's definitely scary, but you're allowed to experience these emotions, and someone out there knows the kind of pain you feel. The pain of a lost loved one, a victim of assault, a veteran, whatever you're going through someone can relate. You're voice matters, and it's being heard. Even the strongest need to cry. You are valid.

This is what PTSD is like for me, when I am reminded of my traumatic experiences, I disconnect from everyone and I sometimes even wish that I could sleep and never wake up because of how this world really is. Music like this is proof that there is help for people like me, others who struggle along with me.

As an autistic person, it's so frustrating when non autistic folks and extroverted people in general seem to think I'm hurting myself by self-isolating. Just because I like to be alone a lot more than you do doesn't mean I'm making my depression worse by doing so. What is mentally distressing to you isn't necessarily the same for me, and if you actually sat down and listened to me then maybe you would know that. On a less serious note, my autism also means I have an auditory processing disorder, and as such lyric videos mean the absolute world to me. I completely adore bands that release them, especially with brand new songs. Because honestly I kept mishearing "leave me six feet deep" as "leave me six feet Dave" and I was just like "I DON'T KNOW WHO DAVE IS BUT HELL YEAH LEAVE ME SIX FEET DAVE, IDEK WHAT I'M SAYING BUT I FEEL IT-" lol

For those that don't know, the "alarm" noise in the beginning is Morse code for send help. Yall need to know the real intention of the song. While they're singing, " let me isolate" the beat/alarm noise is code for help. The attention to detail is great.

This song speaks a truth that no one wants to hear or face. Its a terrible sadness that anyone who was abused would want to die "six feet under" without love from even a stranger. Suicide, there is no coming back from it...Temporary isolation may be a respite for finding a solution that will lead to salvation. I have experienced isolation of the mind and it is heart breaking. I pray for those who can conquer their sadness and help others do the same. The song in itself is intense and revealing. Thank you Citizen Soldier.

And OUT OF ALL OF THE SONGS made by Citizen Soldier, this one has the the intro to the song that hits like a badass boss theme. Have you ever considered doing something like that? Make your own boss theme song, like... Brutal, Dark, and where you want to burn everything down? I think you could do something INSANE like that!!!

“Just let me sleep, just leave me lonely. Lock me away where I am safe. Don’t pity me, here in my cage the darkness is my one escape” These really tell how much I don’t like people. I love my darkness because it’s how my story started. That one dark corner kept me safe more than being belittled, hit and emotionally messed with. I at least can be myself there than faking it in the light. Citizen Soldier has become my third favorite officially. Thank you bunches for making your songs. It really helps explains to close ones how it’s been lately 🙂

Your music has kept us alive, I'm hoping we can all keep each other motivated and give hope to keep going. This song came at such a critical time. Everyday in the darkness I think it's going to be me next because who is going to give a damn if I surrender to the call. And then Citizen Soldier releases a song and I realise I'm not alone at all. So I've built a pillow fort for me and my dog and we'll remain here safe until the darkness recedes. Thank you for your music, it means more than you know ♡

Oh gosh, I knew I needed tissues for that one... I'm in therapy for half of my life now and everyone tells me I have to open up more, I have to go outside and not hide at home, that it is wrong to not have friends and isolating only makes everything worse. But sometimes I just NEED isolation for a while, because fighting and working on your mental health issues without a break is frustrating and exhausting. Sometimes the world outside is too scary and I am too weak to function "normally" all the time. I'm 32 years old now and was mentally abused by my parents for over 20 years. And not long time ago, I decided to finally live how I want and accept that I will never be healthy. And your songs help me a lot to accept myself and think that it is okay to struggle and that there is always a reason why you're the way you are. Thank you a lot for your music and understanding everyone who struggle with mental issues, it helps a lot ♥

This song for me describes my anxious-avoidant attachment style due to childhood abuse. It's like always yearning for understanding and love in a relationship, whilst being incredibly cautious and avoidant of all relationships to prevent getting harmed again. It's the wish to be able to love someone, have the person understand and like you as a person, and trust the person to not stab you in back when you show them your vulnerabilities. All I've learnt is that being vulnerable means that other people can exploit your vulnerability and hurt you even more than before. Isolate is the song which describes my life over the past few years.
