That, but what got me the most was "You've had millions of reasons to bend and to break, but you're still alive and that's not a mistake. The war in your head tells a story that's still worth believing, because you're still breathing." That hit me the most I think because of my attempts with suicide in the past because I have terrible seizures literally every day and night. Bad ones. Chose to end my life one day when I was finally home alone. Was taking one last joint when magically, "Would Anyone Care" starts playing on my phone and I just break down. The words...the words I need to here in those moments. I'm 29 and still live with my parents because of my epilepsy. I can't go a day without a seizure and always need help. Makes me feel like a burden and more. Jake and all of CS are a Godsend. They have saved my life twice from suicide when songs just start playing at the moments they're needed. I'm not a man of God like some others are, but that's the closest to magick or some sign that ive ever come across in my life. Kyle, the drummer and artist even drew me up a Phoenix tattoo happily when the band heard of my story and the years I've suffered from them. Literally no life outside the house.

Thank you for this one, Citizen Soldier. As I suffer with depression and a personality disorder that left me with severe self-hatred, I always found it truly difficult to see anything in a better light. 15 years of this struggle and I'm tired of it. Deep inside of me, something wants to keep on living. It's the only thing resisting what I call the "Liar in My Head" and its malicious words that put me down. However, I still struggle with doubt that shatters the confidence that I do successfully build. These words of confidence alongside the ones from your song "Irreplaceable" give me the strength to rebuild what I lose every day in my most depressing moments. I'll use them to give me the courage to say no to the Liar in My Head and deny it. I'm still breathing. I'm still alive and surviving into the next day and that is an accomplishment in its own right, especially for someone like me that possessed no hope in living. So, I'll keep on going. I'll keep on breathing into the next day and beyond. Here's to the success of my goals of becoming a novelist coming true.

There was this 14 year old that butchered her skin and hair. Abused herself mentally and physically. I took notice of the little signs because the girl was quite good at hiding things. I enjoy making people smile and laugh. Life is too short to be unhappy. Became friends with this little girl and got her to open up to me. She didn’t have any friends and her father constantly yelled at her for little to no reason. Her mom did drigs and was a psycho. Things fell between my sister and the teens dad. A year later I saw the sweet girl at a Xmas party. The sweetheart cried and would not remove herself from my hug. My present was her telling me I saved her life. I had stopped her from killing herself and stop harming herself. My words of wisdom had been taken to heart and the young one has made a complete 180. This song makes me think of that. Makes me think of the friends I’ve lost. The thoughts I held in and sadness of not being able to help them. Makes me think of my own thoughts I push aside. Thank you for such another wonderful song CS. Thank you.

'Still Breathing' lyrics: I'll never know your pain, I've never walked in your shoes I know your life ain't fair, I know it's damn near killed you You've been through hell, you blame yourself, a painful past you can't forgive You had no help but time will tell if it's a curse or it's a gift But if you're still breathing, breathing You made it through your darkest days If your heart's still beating, beating Then you are gonna be okay You've had millions of reasons to bend and to break But you're still alive and that's not a mistake The war in your head tells a story that's still Worth believing, 'cause you're still breathing 'Cause you're still breathing 'Cause you're still breathing If you've been up all night thinking it won't get better No need to wear your scars like a scarlet letter You're on the ledge but not the end, it helped you see another way A broken heart, a brand new start, tomorrow everything could change 'Cause if you're still breathing, breathing You made it through your darkest days If your heart's still beating, beating Then you are gonna be okay You've had millions of reasons to bend and to break But you're still alive and that's not a mistake The war in your head tells a story that's still Worth believing, 'cause you're still breathing You're alive, you survived It's a sign and the proof is in your pulse Brighter stars only shine in the dark You are stronger than you know You are stronger than you know You are stronger than you know So if you're still breathing, breathing (you're still breathing) You made it through your darkest days If your heart's still beating, beating (your heart's still beating) Then you're gonna be okay You've had millions of reasons to bend and to break (you're not dead) But you're still alive and that's not a mistake The war in your head tells a story that's still Worth believing, 'cause you're still breathing

I'm shouldering a lot of burdens and responsibilities with not a bright future ahead, I usually just take a deep breath and pull through. I listened to this song many times before, but tonight I ugly cried when it played, I cracked when the burdens were pilling up. I still don't have a positive outlook in life, but after this cry and some encouraging lyrics from this song, I'm still fighting. Thank you.

This song describes my life. I have had so many terrible things happen to me and the ones I love. I have hated myself my entire life and just as I was starting to love myself I almost died from a virus that attacked my brain not once but twice. I have a brain injury no one can see that I am sick all my health issues are not visible. Your music makes me feel not so alone. For that I thank you!

Never knew that I needed this song. I found it about 2 months ago and it's still the one that makes me feel overwhelmed with tears. Thank so much. I've really needed to hear this after years of being emotionally neglected, and then suffering through one of the worst parts of my life to date. Being a survivor and being stronger than I knew I was what I really needed to hear❤❤❤

💔Very powerful and encouraging song! I still ask God to apply Isaiah 57:1 to me now…still breathing and the pain is beyond comprehension. Thank you Citizen Soldier.

Lord Jesus during my countless seasons of extreme depression and despondency I have asked you for relief and healing. Your ways are higher than mine. There is a purpose in my pain, yet I constantly rehearse my demise because sometimes my suffering is too intense. Please forgive me for my sins and don’t allow my words to fuel someone else’s desire to leave this life. I thank you and praise you that I am not alone (even though it feels like it). I pray that each person who is struggling from any affliction (s) will cry out to you and that you would respond in a way that they would recognize that you are real and that you are a strong tower and a refuge. Thank you for not allowing me to harm myself. Help me to accept your will and not pursue mine..I love you Lord Jesus. To those who are reading this know that you are loved. Even if your belief is not in the God of the Bible, my prayer is that you will endure and make it through all of your hardships triumphantly🧗♂️❤️🩹🙏🏾

This song is just a masterpiece.....It's so amazing, it gives you so much power and strength at times where you've already given up! And yes it helped me see another way. If you don't know how to act, then act humanely. Because to get further here, you need a good heart. In the END thats all it matters 🔥❤️🙏

3:42am and hearing this for the first time, This sounds like me to the fullest, I am so shattered inside and always falling scars cover my wrist but I fight on for the love that is in my heart as big as it is, I am single now and finally got out of the 12 year abusive relationship I was in, All though I have tried day in and night out to share the love I have and help others the darkest truth is, As I help them rise I am falling further and further... I always put others first and for so long did the wrong things at one point, Living on today so broken and yet still trying to make others happy and lift them from their pains and sorrows, I only wonder why I am 32 now and still feeling like it would be easier to just throw the fight forever so I don't get hurt or suffer anymore in this world, However my heart will go on and I will continue onwards in hopes one day someone amazing will come into my life and everything will change, they will help me rise and become a better person as I already aim to do so each day, As the tears fall and the pain swells inside I will try to hold my head high and keep fighting onwards no matter how long it takes, I am working on lyrics but I... Don't know how to go about getting them looked at even and maybe making them better and better... I would wish someday I could sing or write for others... So that my lyrics can touch the hearts of people every where to help them understand pain more deeply and rise above it even bettering the.selves and knowing just how much they are precious in this world, Just as you do Citizen Soldiers... ^-^

You really understand all that I've been through, even more than anyone close to me. I lost my dad almost 8 years ago and just recently lost the love of my life the only two people who understood me....this really helps me look at things from a different perspective.Thank you for all you do from the bottom of my heart!

Was listening to music on autoplay a few weeks ago when I was going through a severe depression and this song came on. I listen to it now everytime I'm feeling low and I remember that night I heard it for the first time and how low I was and this song gave me the slightest bit of motivation to keep going. Sounds so cheesy but it's true and I couldn't be more thankful it came on when it did
