Civil Rights Hijackers, Kim Potter, and Daunte Wright

Civil Rights Hijackers include Al Sharpton and Joy Reid in this episode of Divisive Definitions. I take a look at race hustlers who have used recent events, specifically Kim Potter’s shooting of Daunte Wright, as evidence of ‘systemic racism’ or part of some larger racial narrative. This racializing of tragedies has happened recently with Micheal Brown, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks, Jacob Blake, Kyle Rittenhouse, Daunte Wright, Ma'kia Bryant, and Gabby Petito to name a few. Now you might be saying - ‘this is easy to take shots at people’s statements now that the facts are all out.’ But I disagree - the easy thing is to be a race hustler and try to push an agenda off of a tragedy, the hard thing to do is to bite your tongue, wait for the facts to come out, and be reliable and reasonable.

@@OntheOtherHandVideos I think it would be the reason why there are these hustlers to begin with, the root problems behind it all. For example why the deaths of some people by police happened. Police aggressiveness still doesn’t have much of a solution, and probably won’t see that much changed. You know how some cities attempted to defund the police rather than reform it. Word needs to come out about solutions for people to start having confidence in fixing issues like these, and I think it would better help you and the viewer to speak about the solutions.

Happy new year and great job on the video, I enjoyed it and am looking forward to more. I do feel it is necessary to say that going forward this will only get worse and be more pervasive into our daily lives then ever. It is what the adversary wants and something we personally have to combat and not feed into which as you correctly say is the easy thing to do. It also is often hard to recognize these hustlers not just in media but in our daily lives and social circles, thankfully we have been given gifts and resources that are invaluable in these latter days that guide us to keep our commandments. D&C 46:7-8 is a great example of the principles we need in relation to these hustlers and deceivers shown in your video.

It bugs me so much, because if people were indeed killed regularly only after driving an unregistered car there would be many more incidents like this. Statements like Sharpton's might sound compelling in the moment, but even a pause of a single beat reveals what utter garbage it actually is.

I really woke up to race hustlers after Rittenhouse and the Ma'kia Bryant incidents. The amount of lies I saw around these two cases was astounding even though there was a good amount of video evidence that showed the Kyle was innocent and that Ma'kia was guilty. To this day I will never understand how a dude yelled at a cop for shooting Ma'kia who was going to stab someone right in front of them. Like bro how?

Right? I have started to listen to politics/news coverage in the past couple of years, and I do my best to give people the benefit of the doubt where possible. But so many of these incidents were covered in such a false and biased fashion that I felt I was on safe ground to say as much, and hopefully help others to see what I've seen.

It's complicated, and I believe that Kim Potter is a victim of the kind of thoughtlessness you are promoting. She probably did see herself as a "model officer". But an officer who cannot tell you under cross-examination that a pistol is heavier than a taser is not a "model officer". They are an officer who is negligent. Weapons confusion was described in Potter's training, but she neglected to learn basic differences between her pistol and taser. Calling these officers "model officers" only encourages them to overlook their shortcomings.

The legal definition of negligence requires a *conscious* disregard, and not even the prosecution alleged that she knowingly made the mistake. Weapon confusion was outlined in the training to 'reduce the occurrence' of such accidents, not to prevent them altogether - the experts who testified on the trainings never said these would or could guarantee that accidents couldn't happen. Did you watch the trial? To my knowledge, Potter was never questioned as to the weight of her weapons. So if I'm wrong on that fact feel free to correct me, but from my point of view you seem to be ignoring the legal statutes, replacing them with your own for the sake of argument, and are making allegations of the trial that never happened. And yet you called me thoughtless. Anyway, if I'm wrong on Potter's testimony or if you feel like you have an argument of how one can unknowingly have conscious disregard, I'm open to hearing your thoughts. But I'm pretty sure my arguments have a solid foundation.
