As someone who has played Civ 5 and BE quite a bit a few years back, I really enjoyed this series and seeing how different civ 5/BE and 6 actually are. You convey those concepts so much clearer than the ingame tutorial or advisor help ever could. Thank you so much for doing this. Also, would you be willing to make a video breakdown/tutorial on the two expansion packs? So what changed and how exactly the added mechanics work? Since if it is anything like the expansions for Civ5 I'd wager it is quite a hefty change. I would very much appreciate that. And again, since it can't be said enough, thank you so much.

Late to the party with Civ7 on the way...but Civ6 being $5 on steam...I couldn't pass it up. What a different feel. I will never forget my email games on Civ II gold....somehow, playing after Alpha Centauri...the franchise has kinda left me less enthusiastic.

@@tosspot1305 I'm hyped on Civ7. I am actually digging all these new mechanics...not a fan of how easy it is to Win with Culture however...hopefully they nerf that by making some kind of difficult Wonder Build. Always been a Domination player myself. The United Nations was a cool touch...but lets be honest...Domination is the cream of the Crop. Wasn't a fan of the "Districts" at first...but as I start to understand adjacency and bonuses...it's starting to sparkle with me.

Great tutorial. Question: do you start a game with your win condition already in mind? Or do you start to think about it only when you're a couple hundred turns in?
@Normul8or Жыл бұрын
I typically start out with an idea of what I want to do strategically in terms of a win condition but you don’t have to by any means. Particularly if you’re not worried about how many turns it takes to ‘win’ and you just want to enjoy a casual game. When I’ve done my sub 200 turn victory runs in the past I’ve always had a good idea of the plan on turn 1. 👍

thanks for the tutorial, can i ask how to get more resources faster? i really frustrated cant upgrade or create more better troops with a few resources
@Normul8or4 жыл бұрын
There are gov’t cards you can use to increase the rate that resources accumulate. Of course expanding quickly to more land (I have a tutorial for that) will generally give you more copies as well. Also, if you are suzerain of a city state you acquire their strategic as well as luxury resources, so if you’re having particular problems you could target a specific city state that has what you’re looking for. I will say this, while strategic resources do limit army sizes for the player they are doing the same for the AI. Particularly on high difficulties where the AI used to spam units before there was requirements. It was no fun getting turn 80 knight rushed by the deity AI trust me. They’d come with 8 or 10 of the bastards! It was actually a pretty big nerf to the AI tbh.

How do you know if your battering ram is working? How do you implement it/ get it started? Thanks. :)
@Normul8or2 жыл бұрын
If it is next to the city it is working. Remember that it only works with melee class weapons. So horse units don’t benefit. You’ll notice when you hit that the health of the walls will drop a lot because all of the hit power is going to the walls and none are going to city center. Remember that all melee units adjacent to city get benefit of using battering ram even if not on same tile as the ram itself.
