I'm carrying my Vision FG right now, I have the green micarta and black blade. Mine was razor sharp right out of the box. Still has a hair popping sharp blade after months of light use. Good video. Thanks

Someone gave me this exact knife for Christmas. I haven’t gotten a ton of carry time with it (come to think of it, today is a good day). I’m hot and cold on Jade G10 - don’t hate it, but I also don’t do a lot of dye work either. Plus, I’ve heard some say they like white G10 better for dyeing but that is what it is. Glad you picked it up! I’m also pretty enthused to try out this style of lock.

White may be better I have not had enough experience to say myself but I am very happy with how dying them turned out.

White and jade G10 both take Rit DyeMore for Synthetics very well. There’s a slight advantage starting with white G10 if you want to dye it a different light color, the jade may take a few more minutes in the dye when going to another light color. Either white or jade changing to a more bold or darker color is pretty much equal imo. Definitely explore their color combination formulas under the synthetic line. You can test each dye batch with white/clear zip ties first.

@@DaveSmith-lh5tk I agree with all of this. Another thing to think about is Jade is slightly translucent even after dying it retains that. If you start with white you are more likely to get an opaque scale in the end. All depends on what you are after for you end result I think.
