Hello and welcome back! Clarified milk punch is one of my favorite cocktails. It’s easier to make than it looks, just follow a few tips that I mention in the video. Remember- small curds are better than large curds, so keep that milk moving once you add the citrus. I hope you give this recipe a try and feel free to take liberties with the ingredients- I have never had a bad milk punch- so go wild with it and let me know in the comments below how it turned out and what variation you went with. Cheers!

Do you have any tips for wanting to make a vodka based crystal clear cocktail that tastes like a cream sickle using this method? Ps: I find your videos extremely relaxing and informative as well as beautifully edited/shot.
@TheWeePearl Жыл бұрын
Definitely! I have done this before. You can use a vanilla vodka, orange juice (and a little bit of lemon juice) and milk. It’s super simple and it comes out so clear. Once the punch is ready, add simple syrup to taste.

Great video! Question, if vinegar is used to clarify the milk will it be as shelf-stable as if alcohol was added?
@TheWeePearl2 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question! The amount of vinegar compared to the volume of the drink itself is quite small. Unfortunately it’s not enough acid to keep the punch from fermenting, though it might last a bit longer in the refrigerator than most other milk punches. Freezing the punch is a great way to preserve it though. Just don’t add the alcohol before freezing.

How do you think this recipe would work in a kombucha? The milk punch being the liquid with the scoby and going through the fermentation process.
@TheWeePearl3 жыл бұрын
It probably wouldn’t ferment. The fat from the milk would form a barrier around the scoby, though I have never tried it myself. I have researched using other kinds of flavored teas to make kombucha, but even the oils from the bergamot in earl grey tea form a barrier and actually starve the scoby. Alternatively you could use kombucha as the acid to make milk punch!
