what are you using for a stand when you put it in the oven?

A few I have are old mallet putters using an old piece of shaft or just steel rod to hold it. But the ones I use most are blocks of graphite I had from old projects. Drilled holes in them for steel rods to hold the putter upright.

For those of who don’t have sand blasting equipment and no experience on how to use one, how do you get started?

Buy a cabinet & some media. Hook your compressor to it and spray. It's pretty simple. But you will need a pretty industrial Air compressor to run one properly.
