Classic Camping Living History At The Pioneer Flight Musuem, May 2024

We attended the twice annual Air Fare at the Pioneer Flight Museum in Kingsbury, TX this past weekend. Here's some video about the Classic Camping set ups that were in attendance. We'll do a walkthrough of the Museum grounds in a separate video.

It really is a neat little museum, one where you get to see stuff you wouldn't in other aviation museums. The permanent collection is impressive, but the Air Fair brings in some real specimens and you never know what is going to fly in. Thanks for watching!

Hey Sarge, i have three applications of mink oil on the leather on my new WPG musette bag now and it is looking completely different to the way it looked when brand new. Thanks for the tip!

I love mink oil. Its the only formulation that is unchanged from the original, everting else has some sort of additive or deletion from the original "recipe". And it lasts. The application I did on my musette 10 years still looks like it did the day after I applied it. Thanks for watching!

Yah, these displays are more "Motor Camping" than Trekking. We do stay out there Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy the campfire fellowship, and really use the old stuff. Thanks for watching!

Hey Sarge, what would you recommend for a good pre-war style coffee maker?

I just boil water in my canteen cup and use muslin bags and put ground coffee in it. Works like a charm and probably the lightest coffee making you can carry. Thanks for watching!
