Super video. I think classic camping dovetails in with aviation as well, in ultralight form anyway. Flying surplus Jennys or Standards in the 20's, they had to land where they could for wrenching, waiting out weather, or spending the night under the wing. Lindbergh was expert at traveling light. I would think that a bedroll, stove, and tarp, would have fit into aviation back then. Thanks.

A good deal of early sleeping bag innovation was done by the Air Corps in the Between The Wars period to address just those situations. Thanks for watching!

I have been to the Glen Curtis Museum in Western New York State. For folks up that way, they also offer an interesting set of exhibits from the early years of flight and beyond.

That second plane you walked past, is that propeller really that small? It looks tiny!

Yep, it really is that small. But the plane does fly and was quite popular in its time.
