This game I place near the top of my Saturn gems list. The OST is real moody, and gives this game so much charm.

I LOVED this game. I might hunt down a Saturn just to play this one again.

Mark, you are the William Shatner of video review shows. "I... can't quite say... how... good... the game is. But... you... *should*... buy it now." I love it. Also, as dark and foggy as this game is, it's still got a better view distance than Nightmare Creatures.

This was one of the first games I got when I got my Saturn a year ago. One of the better co-op games for the Saturn for sure.

I remember being annoyed at the darkness in this game when I was younger but still thinking it felt really good for some reason. Then I had that 'DUH' moment where I realized that the game's so frigging dark because it's basically doing N64 fog to keep the frame rate high while it throws literally hundreds of enemies and bullets around. I don't think it ever drops below 60. The same devs also did a racing game called Scorcher that does something similar so that it can be crazy fast.

I remember playing this one on PC when I'm a kid. It have some Descent feel in it in the age where many people begin to worship 3D

Sega Saturn was the best console for its time, was far from.its time, people don't realize that. I wish they made new accessories for Saturn like Wireless controllers, and new Netlink with Bluetooth, Ram expantion and enhancements like HD in back.
@shalpp10 жыл бұрын
It really wasn't though. As a 2d system it was a total powerhouse but in the emerging era of 3D PSX had it beat in almost every aspect

Morden101 i never like that Wipeout game, terrible in my opinion, and they never even made a remake(i think).
@frankynakamoto230810 жыл бұрын
Why am I Shalpp? It was a 3D, it had many awesome 3D games.like Burning Rangers, Panzer Dragon Saga, and it never reached full potential, it had ram expantion for faster and better gaming, and it was the first to have online gameplay, also they should of made a back attachment to improve it as it had room for floppy disk memory storage of games and intenet capacity, they should haved builded an attachment to maximize it, that is a good idea, to include everything, more ram processor and all the goodies with memory storage to save entire games, and they could even make a new game for it. The Saturn with expantion 4Ram played games faster than PS1, the only reason why it fail as a console. Was bad management and poor international selling, they never sold it to other countries, and also they never release the japanese titles to USA, i would of like to seen that, also they should of made it backwards compatible to haved played sega genesis games.

Voxels before Minecraft! =D I had it, found a copy new! Didn't hang onto it for too long though. It seemed fun initially, but it just got too repetitive. Not as bad as Robotica, but I decided I wasn't going to go back to it and traded it.

@Megatog61510 жыл бұрын
Actually it's more likely to be a heightmap rather than voxels.
10 жыл бұрын
It uses voxels for the terrain, very likely in combination with a heightmap file.
@Megatog61510 жыл бұрын
Oh, duh. To do something with the heightmap like that you'd need voxels or a shitton of polygons. The latter was not possible with the Saturn. Ignore me.

I might be alone in this, but I bought this game for the PC back 1996 when I was 13-14, and it was the first game EVER that I was so dissapointed in that after playing it for less then an hour I returned it the same day and got my money back... such a garbage game.. Don't get me wrong, if you like/love this game that's fine with me, and I won't think less of anyone for liking stuff that I don't, but MAAAAAAAAAN this game was aweful (for me)! But at least something great came from it... An awesome review from Mark!
