Anyone else find it funny that there are, like, 5 different videos on how to build a frost mage with talents, and not one of them agrees with the other?

There's a few points that can be moved around because they don't matter that much to single target DPS

This data/numbers are not correct in Classic. I have a mage with full pre raid bis gear with some bis gear and I crit somewhere around 16-1700 and average frostbolt dmg of around 780-800 with WC build with no consumables. My gear has somewhere above 300 spellpower.

1:20 Don't know if this was meant as a joke, but this genuinely has me superexited! I have also tried to make an arcane build for classic for quite some time now. DPS seems to work out fine, the only problems I really encounter is mana problems and the fact that arcane missiles knock off debuffs whenever channelled on a target with full debuff slots. However, the kast one might be fixed for classic if they deem it to be a bug rather then a part of the authentic experience. Please make this video it would make me so happy! :D Great videos btw, subbed!!

how do you do 1300+ frostbolts on a pre-bis mage ? In wow classic i have 285 spell power and i only do like 700

Same here my fbs go for like 680 a 700 and crit for like 1380 average.

if you would use frostbolt(rank11) which is available in phase 5, Frostbolt would do 515-555 damage + 6% frost damage through skillpoints+ 300 through gear and another 150 with flask +20% disc priest buff and warlocks 10% more frost damage on the target it could be possible. But the disc buff only lasts 20 sec i believe and he had it up all the time. Anyway he did not mention that in his video.

59 int = 1% spell crit if I remember correctly. So not a big bonus here. Plus a slightly bigger mana pool. Overall not much of a difference dps wise. pick what you prefer visually.

Hey could you please make an test video about the difference in DPS between hybrid bwl mage and netherwind tier 2 mage - 8 set bonus set. Far as I calculated Hybrid has (43 spell dmg +2 hit +2 crit) vs 10% instant spell cast chance that 8 pieces of netherwind set has try it with both specs frost up to bwl and fire up to bwl thank you in advance you are awesome :)

Looks like shadow priest dps better or similar to mage dps from leveling, all the way up through molten core & bwl (fire spec will be irrelevant). Most players won't see past bwl.

As a Mage that Raided the org Vanilla naxx i have things to say: if you use an Frost pve Spec go for 28/0/23 because no need for ice barrier. To use evoc in the fight is a no go just use mana potion and dark runes. Of course you need a poor guy who applies wc but this is the best pve frost spec

Fire is (almost) exactly the same, except you spam fireball instead of frost bolt. Only difference is, that one mage has to keep scorch up.
