IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF YOU’RE USING BENTONITE CLAY. From charcoal & body: If you are creating a DIY activated charcoal face mask, do not use a metal spoon or a metal bowl. In a nutshell (and saving you from reading a wordy scientific explanation), metal spoons and bowls will react with the clay reducing most of its healing properties. If you want a better scientific explanation head to google. Basically, bentonite clay will lose its magnetic charge to draw out impurities. I noticed in this video this girl is using a metal spoon in the intro of this video… Use a wooden or bamboo spoon instead of a metal spoon and consider using a glass or ceramic bowl to mix your ingredients.

NEVER NEVER NEVER Metal spoons or bowls should not be used when mixing bentonite clay because the metal can react with the clay and change its properties. Bentonite clay has a negative electrical charge, and when it comes into contact with metal, it can become positively charged. YOU SHOULD DO RESEARCH
