Kareem won in 1985 when they finally beat Boston and Worthy won in 1988 when they beat Detroit. How many teams in NBA history have had 3 players all capable of carrying the team to the championship when needed? Certainly not the Bulls. There was MJ, and then there was...MJ. @derpmcgerp80623 жыл бұрын
@@taimurabid5135 it's tough to say. As a team unit, it's not even a competition. Plenty of Spurs teams were incredibly good because each player contributed and they cultivated a winning culture. Hence being the most successful post-Jordan franchise. They for the most part didn't need 1 guy to go off and score 40 in order to win games. The Big 3 Heat were also incredibly good when they were at their peak. You could also argue though that their Big 3 was kind of overrated. After 2011, Dwayne Wade wasn't the same player as he use to be. Chris Bosh was a great player who had moments, but he was also kinda overrated. Lebron was arguably at his best when he played for the Heat, that's their 1 saving grace. They had the best player in the league and when he was dominating, the team was actually good enough to really help him win Championships. The difference between the Heat and Spurs were that the Spurs had probably the best coaching in the league and had selfless superstars like Tim Duncan uphold a culture that prioritized defense, getting everybody involved, and winning games. The Heat were fun to watch, they had a player who could easily take over games when needed, and they could beat anybody in multiple ways. Tough to tell. Curious to see what Clayton's gonna pick.

In the 80s lots of people who generally didn't care about the NBA or basketball would stop what they were doing to watch the Lakers and/or Lakers v. Celtics. They were that good, and they were great to watch. Showtime Lakers and Larry Byrd Celtics was the best era in Basketball.

Wow. Film editing and writing as poetic as the game of basketball was with this team on the Court. Bravo, case made 👏🏽

I just don't understand how a person could watch a video like this and still think players from the 80's were athletically inferior to todays players..

Worthy was an otherworldly athlete, a 6'10 racehorse w/elite jumping ability. The idea that, idk, Klay Thompson (no shade toward Play, who is great in his own right) is somehow more able to hang athletically than Worthy is laughable. As a pure athlete, Worthy would humiliate all but a very small handful of SFs who've come since
