Manu's #20 jersey was far and away the top selling Spurs jersey when he played. One only had to look into the stands to see that over half of the fans that were wearing jerseys would be wearing #20. GINNOBIILIIIIIIII!

To think that this team defended better overall than the fabled, worshipped Bad Boys of Rodman, and Laimbeer, just BOGGLES the mind. Never thought any team would play better than that. But here these Pistons showed up, and shut everybody out. Unbelievable.

Rodman waa a solid passer He was a great outlet passer. Giving MJ and Pipp easy fast break points. He was solid as as the post player in the Triangle, that was crucial in distributing the ball.

This is the team I use as my example when I tell young guys at work that LeBron wouldn't be king James if he had to play in that era. Not because of the hard fouls, but more importantly because of rodman, dumars and Isaiah. I would put any LeBron team against the bad boys and I still don't think James would have come out victorious.

The pistons had to go through the toughest, hall of fame stacked teams ever to win a championship. It really was a Herculean task.

What is this crap? You spent 80% of the time talking about everyone but Jordan. Kid, you were still sucking on a pacifier and wetting your diapers when Jordan changed the game and made basketball a global sport. Nike wouldn’t be what it is today if it wasn’t for Mike. This doesn’t just happen b/c someone is flashy, jumps high, or scores like Wilt. He was a natural force, unlike anything sports had seen.

Kobe is the biggest threat to the Jordan GOAT debate. Jordan beats LeBron in 99% stats in a rougher era. Even in shoe sales. Sorry. Do your research.

I'm argentinian. I was 10 at that time and knew shit about basketball. Didn't know what a rotation, a screen, a P&R, a poster was. But I remember watching the NBA just for the spurs (for Manu actually) and thinking "Damn, this is what basketball is". I started loving the sport for them. It wasn't until many years later that I understood that not all the teams played the way the spurs did (not many matches were televised here). I remember thinking "Why doesn't all big man play like Tim on the Paint?", "Why don't all PG throw floaters like Tony?", "Why don't the other teams pass the ball like them?". Long story short, I'll love Manu and the Spurs forever

Wilt being in an era where everything is more convenient, shoe technology, sports medicine/science/therapy, fitness programs, etc.... He'd be more dominant than he was in his era. Scary thought. He's the strongest and most athletic player in basketball history and with today's basketball equipment and medical, training, etc, he'd dominate the game just as he did so long ago

I am not even a Spurs fan, but what I will always love, admire, and remember about this time is how driven and committed they were to avenging what happened in 2013. I think that I remember either Tim Duncan or Tony Parker saying in a post-game interview after winning the conference final that they *wanted* the Heat. This team had a single focus, and they were able to to fulfill their mission. What an inspiration this team was!

Clayton. Thanks for this Video. This is the best analysis n compilation of Horry's greatness. He's indeed the best Role Player of all time. I think that should be His Hall Of Fame Title. 7 Rings which he actually Instrumented esp. With that buddy check against the Suns when the Spurs where running out of Ideas at age 36. I think He's the Smartest player to watch on a game, relegate himself & go unnoticed till around the very end when it mattered. Honestly I noticed Horry the 1st time when he saved the Spurs in the 2005 season's game 5. I didn't know he has been literally saving the big winning teams since Olaguwon n the LA Lakers men!!!!! Game 3 @ Philly could had easily been Iverson's game but for Horry again, and game 3 against Iverson and Carmelo's Nuggets Hurry was there again for the spurs. I didn't know they where down 2-1 to the Kings in 02/03. & where loosing for the kings to make it 3-1 in game 4 but for Horry who was there to help the Lakers tie it 2-2. & win their last Series. I think its safe to say that when Horry left the lakers after giving the Shaq-Kobi team their 3pt 3rd ring, that Lakers didn't win another ring till Kobe came into his Own. But before Kobe would come into his own in 2008; Horry would Help the Spurs win another 2 Rings by 36 in 07 the year they took Iverson n Carmelo's Nuggets n Steve Nash's Suns out to win his 7th Ring. Hiorry / Heorry. Is a True Hero, the smartest and was instrumental in every team he played and watched the game & was always out of site like a ghost who only literally always open at the dieing moments of the game to put his team forward with that Clutch 3. I think is only the Spurs that won it b4, during and after Horry came n left. Hakeem Olaguwon's Rockets and Shak Kobe's Lakers didn’t win the Play Offs without Horry. That's they didn't win the playoffs b4 Horry came or after Horry left. So he did 2 with Hakeem, 3 with Shaq-Kobe n 2 for the Spurs. I think he was so smart in choosing teams to move to. Like making sure he left the suns to play for the lakers. I think he always knew the team with the greatest potential to win playoffs to go to next and play for. Its amazing that all the teams he intentionally moved to he won rings with them to finished his Career with 7 rings. Its really amazing. His timing. He just knew the next best team to go to & new when to leave. He did it back to back with the 1st 2 dominant teams Olaguwon's Rockets 2pt 94,95 when Jordan left & Shaqs's 2000/1-2002/3 series. But won for the Spurs not consecutively but almost consecutively, in the 2005 ,07 series. Horry is Truely impeccably great. If Not for this video I wouldn't know Horry was there throughout Olaguwon's 2pt n Shaq's Lakers 3pt. Only really knew & noticed him at Spurs 05 Buzzer Game 6, Clutch 3 to level the Spurs up 3-3 & force a game 7 against the defending Champs Chancy Billups, Hamilton , The Wallaces' Pistons. Thanks Clayton for this Documentry & Analysis. Truely Spot on & Beautiful. Wise Horry. Smartly got his 7th (7- The Symbolic, Iconic, Number if Completion) Ring & knew it was Finished n retired just b4 turning 37. Its amazing. He's Truely The Best Role Player in NBA History & Clayton, You said it Right & I think you titled it so very right as well. "ROLE PLAYER" Hall Of Fame. I think we should suggest it yea. Thanks Clay.
2011 Mavs was bigger. Dirk carried them over what was supposed to be the greatest team of all time

GOAT? Perhaps not. Top 10? I believe so. Top 15? No question!!! His combined stats of the ABA and NBA, I think should have him in Top 10 talk. He's one of few professionals who sacrificed there stats for the good of the team. The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh was the ultimate team player in his years. An All-Star every year of his professional career.
