CLE Reading 1 Flip Through || Grade 1 Curriculum Choice For 2022-2023

I know you are familiar with Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. I am using this for my 5 year old now and am on Lesson 62. Once we have completed it, where should we start with CLE? I have watched lots of your CLE videos and am so intrigued with it but not sure where to jump in. I had thought of doing The Good and The Beautiful Kindergarten after 100 Easy Lessons to be sure he has really learned the concepts but not sure what to do. Thanks for your help!

I would look on the CLE website to take a look inside the Learning to Read light units.Taking a look inside of them will help you decide on where to pick up where you left off and/or what your little one is ready for. :)

Hello! Thanks for making these videos! 😊 I saw on the website that the 1st grade Reading is integrated into the Language Arts. But can I skip Learning to Read and go straight to Reading and start Language Arts from the beginning (101)?

The Language Arts I starts when the student gets to Light Unit 105 in the Learning to Read. You can look at samples of the light units on the website so if your student is ready for reading 1 then yes, you can jump ahead! ❤️😊 Thank you for watching!

My first grader is doing Logic of English Foundations C this year but I'm thinking we should add this book for the character lessons taught! We'll be doing CLE Math this year.

I’m using the good and beautiful k language arts like you are for my daughter and it’s great she finished all the booster cards quickly. I moved to booster b now half way through the school year and she loves them but at the same time I wonder sometimes if it’s not enough review because she sometimes forgets them and in think that’s normal. But the cle looks so much more gentle. We will be switching to their ma to next year because the good and beautiful is just way too much story telling for me and she doesn’t really enjoy that part or even in the language lessons. Will you be using this with your daughter next year the cle language corse and reading or will you continue good and beautiful?

This is 100% why we are switching to CLE for her next year. We LOVED TGATB, and then it stopped working within a week or two. Just not enough review time, and she also became bored with the story telling. I will be making a full update video on that soon! ❤️

I feel like the pronounciation key could get confusing. Did your child struggle with it? It may just be intimidating to me because i was never taught it. I am willing to learn though

When I first looked at it I was overwhelmed too, but we all caught on super quick! ❤️
