I just want to know if you have changed your mind. You said in a previous video that you didn't recommend sponges because you saw testing that showed that you cannot completely clean a sponge from bacteria. Also, dawn, peroxide, bar keepers friend.

I've been a fan of yours for awhile and your baby is so cute :) just a little feedback though, lately the videos dont seem as genuine to me. We used to get glimpses of you cleaning without make up (which I so appreciated) and I think you looked beautiful without being so made up. Also, the surfaces you are cleaning are already clean!! I just want to share my two cents without being a negative troll ;) but the reason I prefer you tube instead of tv is bc it feels more "real" and I'm missing that with CMS lately. Thank you for reading

So this kind doesn’t leak? The two biggest issues we’ve had (we’ve been using these things for years) is the leaking soap and the head attachments breaking.

Using this model in our kitchen for a week and no leaks anywhere. Has a heavy-duty, kinda ergonomic and comfy feel to it, and the head seems more stable on this model. We cook both gluten and gluten-free and scrub between recipes. Soap stays put until you press the button.

Dear Melissa, I'm a big fan of yours and of your videos! I found the tips here very useful, but I am also a big fan of minimalism and that applies to cleaning tools as well. Therefore my question is: what is, in your opinion, the cleaning tool that can be used in the highest number of different (useful) ways? Would it be too much to ask for a top 5/top 10 of multi-use cleaning tools? Keep up the good work! :)
@cleanmyspace
@cleanmyspace 4 жыл бұрын
So that's one of the reasons this is a cool product. When I learned about all of the different heads they had, I thought wow, this is a great way to reduce the number of cleaning tools we keep at home. I like this, as well as microfiber cloths, a spray bottle or two and of course a broom or vacuum and a mop.

Well, yes, a sponsored video is designed to showcase a brand. I REALLY like Scotch-Brite and I thought this would be a fun way to share how to use one of their cleaning tools in various ways. There's no way to get around it - they hired me as a spokesperson and I do have certain requirements as part of our partnership and that are required by contract and by law which I have to uphold - but we always strive to make the BEST sponsored videos we can so that you are learning something new. I hope that explains :).

Melissa, I'd like to see a video of "micro-cleaning" where you pay attention to places where crud builds up that isn't caught during macro cleaning. For example,I use a toothpick around the edges of the press buttons and the plastic shield covering my stovetop control panel as well as inside the vent holes. Another is around light switches and in the crease of the flip switch. Also the underside of drawer and cabinet edges. . .I always feel good after doing these things as I know a guest won't encounter crud unexpectedly. Anyone have other little spots like these they clean?

Ok, if you say it doesn't leak then I'm going to have to try this again. Years ago I had a scotchbright dishwand and the soap was always leaking. I loved the leverage tho, so I just would use a spray bottle with a strong mix of water and dishsoap with it. But it was a pain. So much so that when the scrubhead finally wore out (it lasted a while!) I just tossed the whole thing and didn't buy a new one because it was a pain in the bum to use. But now I'm hoping that they really don't leak cuz I'm going to try one of those brush type ones. 🤞 Thanks for the video.

The silicone sponge is less likely to have food and moisture trap on the surface so no mildew less bacteria, but is it a better cleaning tool? Depends on how much you scrubbing you have to do. They are not very expensive so it’s worth a try if you are curious.

I loved the brush and plan on getting one soon. I didn't know they updated their old product. There are a few things I want to know. Are you using dish soap for all of these tasks? Whatever soap you're using, is it always full strength? I'm concerned about using straight soap on a floor and just wiping it off with your microfiber towel. Damp feet on soap residue? I do love your videos! I use tons of your methods and "hacks". However, I am failing at the decluttering from videos in the past. No idea if I'll ever get to the minimalist home. Mother-in-law and Husband are amateur hoarders lol. They both panic when I start purging and then heaven forbid 2 years later we find a use for something I got rid of. Lol. Keep up the good work.
